Most normal people would get a key. Grace was most definitely not a normal person. To be fair, she wasn't even certain if her dad had a key and even if he did have a spare key she couldn't get in touch with him today. She'd gotten the alarm code from Matt a few nights ago. She wasn't supposed to get there until Friday, it was only Tuesday. Grace hadn't been miss goody two shoes as a teenager and had learned a thing or two about shimmying a window open. So in true Grace fashion, she climbed up the tree, opened the window, and set off the alarm at the house. Racing through a maze she was unfamiliar with she managed to shut the alarm code off. She was going to have to get Matt to do something about the window in the bathroom that didn't have a lock on it. Because technically if she could get in, then so could someone else. Though if she were to walk into the bathroom from the inside, she would have presumed it locked since it was one of those frosted ones. The house was pretty compared to some of the other places she'd been over the years. Grace unlocked the front door and went outside to get her bags and bring them inside, making sure to lock up once she was back inside again. Her car was left two doors down at a neighbors house around the corner. She didn't want Matt to see her Toyota, it was hardly easy to hide the vibrant blue color in plain sight. She figured Matt still had a few hours until he got home. She started cleaning up the mess their daughter had made from this morning before breakfast. Grace had been the one to stay behind. She missed Kaylee and Matt. Not that she had been truly alone, as her girlfriends back in California had made sure to keep her busy. But family was family. Grace got everything just so before she finally started unpacking her stuff. The whole moving thing was getting fairly old, but at least here she had family nearby. It would make things easier in the long run. Right now she was just going to have to adjust. When she had her stuff unpacked she grabbed her book and went and planted herself on the couch. The book went largely ignored as she fell asleep on the couch. The long drive over the last few days had been tiring and they'd only stopped twice between California and Tennessee. Grace could have flown... but then there was the whole car issue and no she had just sworn Kurtis to secrecy for helping her drive here, much easier. She'd spent last night in a hotel just because they had gotten in so late and didn't want to wake anyone. Going to her dad's would have ruined the surprise. Grace was just... quirky like that. What made sense was not exactly grace-style. Tag: Petty Officer Matthew Cole (I didn't see Matts last station so I just went with the first heavy navy state that came to mind)

Matt had moved around a lot over the years but so far his newest home here in Tierney was certainly one of the nicest he had lived in. It was a world away from that neighborhood in New York he and his mother had lived in during his adolescence. Being home to a lot of military families meant the neighborhood had a good sense of community about it, it was one of those kinds of places where neighbors talked "over the fence". They even had barbecues every now and then and the families helped each other out for the most part. So when the alarm sounded the neighbor two doors down naturally peeked out of his window to see if Matt's truck was parked up. It wasn't the first time that alarm had ever sounded since the Cole's move in. It had taken Matt and Kaylee a little while to get used to it as they came in and left the house the first few weeks after they had arrived, so people didn't usually pay all that much attention to the noise as long as Matt's truck was there to indicate he was home. But seeing as the truck was nowhere to be seen the man made his way over to check on the place, however the alarm stopped sounding as he walked over and as he got to the front yard he saw a woman taking bags into the house. It stood to reason that if she was burgling the place she would be taking bags of stuff out, not taking them in. So he greeted her with a polite nod and a "Hello Ma'am." before recognizing her from the pictures he had seen. He introduced himself, welcomed her to the neighborhood and offered to help with her bags before returning to his own house. It was only a few hours later that Matt did park his truck up. He had stopped off to pick up another tin of paint on his way home from work, so he had just enough time to clean the kitchen and put dinner in the oven before Kaylee would arrive home from her play date. He had been decorating the house, doing his best to make it feel like a home ready for when Grace came. Of course it would be her department to arrange the pictures and nicknacks, pick out the netting and curtains and all those finishing touches, but he had been wallpapering and paining the place with the colours they had talked about and all that kind of stuff over the past few weeks, between working and looking after Kaylee. He had more or less finished the house in the last week or so and was just finishing turning the spare bedroom into a library of sorts as a surprise for Grace. He knew how she loved her books after all, and seeing that her being a housewife and stay-at-home-mother-come-teacher to their home educated daughter meant that her home was her "office" and that her "office" was her home Matt thought it was important to give her a little space for herself that she could make her own and have as a personal sanctuary. He had spent a few days making some wooden shelving in his neighbors garage before fixing them to the wall like a couple of bookcases. He hadn't done a bad job and actually surprised himself with his handy work. He painted the rest of the room in colours he though Grace would love and put in a desk and a comfortable two seater sofa bed that would allow the room to be used as a guest bedroom should the need ever arise. All he had to do was finish painting the baseboards using the paint he had just picked up. It was Tuesday now so he figured he would finish that job off tonight and it would give it enough time for the paint to dry and the smell of paint to dissipate ready for when Grace came in on Friday. Matt turned off the engine and locked up his truck. He dug his keys out of his pocket as he walked up the pathway to the front door, whistling an indistinct tune to himself. The photo key chain he had of Grace and Kaylee making his keys jingle as he turned the lock and let himself in. Tag: Gracelyn Cole . Ooc: California is just fine. It's what I had in mind when I wrote Matt's app actually

Grace knew the jingle of the keys in the door lock. She registered in her subconscious that Matt was coming home from work. Stretching on the couch, she knew she hadn't slept long but the cat nap had been long enough. She knew scaring Matt was really mean so she just laid on the couch quiet, well as quiet as she could when her foot bumped the book off the table with a small thump to the ground. There was a clear line of sight to the front door, so naturally she wasn't hiding behind anything. "Good evening stranger" she teased from her spot on the couch which she still had not moved from. When he was complete in the house she tossed a throw pillow in his direction aiming for his backside. Probably not the smartest move when your husband was a Navy SEAL but how often did she really get to try and make him jump? It was the little things, and sometimes it was just fun to get a reaction out of him. She was counting the seconds til he wondered where her car was, how she had gotten in the house, and if he had run into the neighbors on his way in? Nope, she was stopping there. Maybe he wouldn't ask, there was always that possibility. In fact, she was going to go with the whole don't offer information unless it's asked policy right about now. It was probably much safer. Matt opened the front door and stepped inside, but he paused for a second as he realized he didn't hear the usual beeps of the alarm wanting to be disarmed before it sounded. His eyes squinted a little in puzzlement as he closed the door behind himself and tried to think if he could actually remember setting it this morning as he ushered Kaylee out of the door in a rush, neglecting the mess in the kitchen because they had fallen behind. That was odd, he could have sworn he had put it on. Then he heard a light thump. So he wasn't nuts, either Kaylee had gotten home from her play date early or one of the in-laws had popped over for something and had turned the alarm off, "Kaylee?" He called, directing his eyes and his voice to the stair case to see if Kaylee was upstairs putting the things from her play date away in her room "Are you home early, Sweetheart?" He said as he walked into the living room. "Good evening stranger"He recognized his wifes voice the instant she spoke, only thing was that his brain knew she wasn't due in until Friday so it bent his mind for a split second seeing her laying on the couch. He smiled at her with a look of pleasant surprise covering his face as the pillow hit him on the behind, "What are you doing here?" He asked, his smile growing into a huge, delighted grin. "When did you-", "How-." He had been taken completely by surprise, but then he figured that had been the idea. But the whens and hows of it were not important to him in that moment as he immediately stepped over to her, bending down to give her a kiss. He had missed her so much and was just so happy to see her. "I've missed you." He said before straightening back up. "So has Kaylee. If we knew you were coming early we would have gotten things ready for you." The pair were planing to be a two man welcome wagon for her, and had planned a couple of surprises for her when she got in, but it looked like she had beaten them at their own game. "But you kept that quiet, didn't you?" He said with a smile, shooting her a playful look before he wrapped his muscular arms around her in a hug, "Kaylee's going to be home soon, she's gonna be so happy to see you."

Watching Matt's confusion was highly amusing and she had to work to contain the giggling that normally would have erupted, but she had wanted the pillow to be the surprise figurative kick. Well, aside from speaking so she didn't spook him too badly. There were certain things you didn't do with a Navy SEAL and one of those things was catching them off guard. Hearing his question she tried not to chortle too loudly. "I live here?" Oh yes, it was totally a rhetorical question, but when was she ever not being a little on the spunky and playful side? Especially, when she was in a happy mood. His smiled broadened her own. It was good to see him. She scampered off the couch after kissing him and decided to answer his rambling. "Late last night, after you were in bed." She wrapped her arms around his neck when he stood up. "By the way, the drop from the window into the bathtub is a long one." She mentioned. Okay well, that half explained the hows of how she got into the house. She'd been torn between telling him how she got in and not telling him, but it was probably better for safety reasons to tell him about it. Even if it brought up the question of why or anything else. Then again she'd already told him she'd gotten in late last night. She really needed to think before she spoke sometimes. "I've missed you both too." She lightly swatted his arm when he said he'd been getting things ready. "You spoil me. How many times have I told you to stop that?" She couldn't count the times she'd said it but that had never changed much. She appreciated the fact that he took time out of the day to think about her. She smirked at him when he said she'd kept things quiet. "I couldn't wait until Friday. I didn't think that would be held against me?" She mused lightly pretending to pout but it was clearly a playful pout. Grace didn't want to leave his hug. It felt good to be home, the separations were always difficult on her and she'd spent a good many months cursing the military for keeping their family split up at times. " Well, the neighbor next door almost ruined the surprise for you, don't ruin it for Kaylee." She tapped him on the nose with her finger. Tag: Petty Officer Matthew Cole

"I live here?"Matt just smiled and shook his head. It was so nice to see her glowing smile again and to hear her playful giggling, even if it was at his expense. After all her spunkiness was one of the things that had made him fall for her in the first place. "Late last night, after you were in bed."Hearing she had actually gotten in last night he tisked, "Aww, you should have woke me up." He said in a 'you silly-billy' tone. But he couldn't complain, she was there early after all, and he was just glad to see her. He smiled amusedly, putting his hands on her waist as she stood there with her arms around his neck, "Or if you really wanted to mess with me you should have crawled into the bed, that would have really bent my mind waking up next to you." "By the way, the drop from the window into the bathtub is a long one." Again Matt squinted slightly in puzzlement, then the penny dropped. "You climbed in?" He grinned. The most surprising part about it was that Matt wasn't that surprised at all. Just leave it to Grace to use a window instead of the door. Then he looked at her more seriously, "It doesn't have a lock on it?" He asked her. He frowned and looked up towards where the bathroom would be on the floor above them, "I'll have to fix that." He looked back to Grace, "I mean one weirdo already climbed in through it, I don't want another one breaking in." He teased, his serious expression turning back to a playful one after he had finished his smart remark. He just smiled again when Grace said she had missed them too and told him to stop spoiling her. But that was something Matt wasn't going to do. He had his moments yes, but for the most part he wasn't always that great at being able to tell her how he felt about her, apart from saying 'I love you' and other typical sentiments like that, so he always showed her through his actions. "I couldn't wait until Friday. I didn't think that would be held against me?"Matt smiled and then played along, giving her a sympathetic look as she pouted, "Aww don't be sad, I could never hold it against you." He said, kissing her on the forehead. It felt so nice having her in his arms again as he looked into her eyes. "Well, the neighbor next door almost ruined the surprise for you, don't ruin it for Kaylee." He grinned broadly as he imagined Kaylee's face, "I won't ruin the surprise." If anything he would help, after all he enjoyed a good surprise...and of course a good prank. "So you've meet the neighbor. Have you seen the house?" Tag: Gracelyn Cole .

Grace raised a brow when he said she should wake him. "Two reasons. One, you need your sleep. Two, you'd never have gotten Kaylee out the door this morning." Not that it would have mattered because Grace would have been home to be with their daughter all day. But Grace didn't always think things through all the way. "I thought about that, but pretty sure you would have heard me breaking into the window. It's really hard to sneak around you." She pointed out. In her defense, breaking into the house with him there would probably have done more damage than surprise. She started playing with his hairline. Then he caught her having had to climb into the upstairs bathroom once she mentioned the drop from the window into the bathtub. "Yeah I climbed in... I didn't have a key. You are the only one who knows I am in town." Well that wasn't true but Kurtis didn't count because he had been the one to help her drive. Cue him catching on that it didn't have a lock. "No, and I barely fit through it." Grace wasn't tiny but she wasn't large either. An average sized male might have fit but a 5ft 7 grace barely fit. When he called her weird she quirked a brow. "That's Mrs. Weirdo to you, Weirdo." She wasn't above turning his teasing around, though she knew he would render the window. There was no doubt about that. Grace smirked, she didn't want to let go of his neck. Her eyes glued to his, he'd started this whole thing but she sometimes turned it into a staring contest. Grace usually lost every time. Blinking was almost second nature to her. She was happy to hear that he wasn't going to ruin the surprise. She lightly poked him in the side as their conversation turned into the rest of the house. Grace shook head. "The bathroom, Kaylee's bedroom when looking for our bedroom which I found, the kitchen, and the living room." She shrugged. The place was like a maze but she'd been able to make deductions about the house. Tag: Petty Officer Matthew Cole

"I thought about that, but pretty sure you would have heard me breaking into the window. It's really hard to sneak around you."A smile crept on the side of Matt's mouth, that was true he had been trained to be the one to do the sneaking and NOT be sneaked up on. "Well, everyone's gonna be glad to see you." He told her when she said no-one knew she was in town. It was good to hear she had just fitted, if she had trouble squeezing in then a man probably wouldn't be able to get through it at all, so it would keep one more night until he could get back to the store tomorrow to buy a lock. He let out a chuckle and gave her a peck on the lips when she said it was Mrs. Weirdo to him. He liked her sense of humor and the fact that she got his sense of humor in return...as immature as his humor could be sometimes. And when she started yet another staring contest he took the challenge. Grace's eye's had always been one of Matt's favorite features and he had always liked to look into them from the very beginning. The staring contests had mostly developed when he asked her to move closer to the screen so he could see her eyes every time they talked via the laptop during his deployed in Afghanistan near the start of their relationship, and it had kind of become their thing since then. She had seen the back garden, the bathroom, Kaylee's room, their room, the kitchen and the living room, "So you've pretty much seen the whole house then." He said with a light nod. "It needs your touch to sort out the finer details like curtains and lampshades and stuff, but do you like the place?" He hoped she did. It was their home now and they would be settling there for a while. "But you've not seen the surprise." He said, giving her a little smile knowing that would get her curiosity. He was glad she hadn't seen it yet, Kaylee had been helping him get the spare room ready for her and Kaylee had been looking forwards to surprising her with it when she got in on friday. Grace chuckled as she played with the collar of his shirt. It was something she’d always done simply out of habit. “I wasn’t planning on telling anyone else early.” She admitted. “I was hoping to spend the next few days with you and Kaylee.” Though she knew her parents would probably start asking questions if Kaylee didn’t come over and Kaylee keeping a secret? Ha, double ha. Matt was everything that drove her insane. His sense of humor was something she had taken the time to adjust to, and the easiest way to she had learned to do that was to throw it right back in his face. Grace pulled her lips away from his and was not surprised when he met yet another of her staring contests. Though this time laughter and a smile caused her to blink. Happy was written all over her. “Like what you see?” She teased lightly swatting him playfully on the back of his shoulder with her hand. Oh yes, the nap had energized her and while an introvert, she was high energy around the house. When she was comfortable she let loose and knew how to have fun, but she also could sit for hours on end with a book and ignore the world. That was just her way of doing things. “It looks like a man cave that is co-inhabited by an eight-year-old” she teased lightly. She was mostly giving him a hard time because she could. Then he changed the subject. “What are you up to this time?” She quirked a brow in his direction. She tapped her finger on his nose. She thought a moment. “I should probably go get my car from the neighbor’s house and put it in the garage before someone thinks I am up to something” she chuckled lightly. The last people she wanted to meet was base MP and that had almost already happened once today. A parking ticket was not on her to-do list. Tag: Petty Officer Matthew Cole

When Grace said she hoped to spend a few days with them Matt pulled her closer and tightened his arms around her waist, "Oh, so we get to keep you to ourselves for a while, huh?" He said looking deeper into her eyes with a smile. The thought of having some family time together before the rest of her family knew she was back sounded great, but the likelihood of that actually happening was another thing, but it was still nice to fantasize about for a moment. Her laughter and happiness just served to rub off on him, it usually did. She was good for him, and having her around helped to balance him out and keep his spirits up, especially when he returned home after being deployed. “Like what you see?”"You know I do." He said before playfully putting his head closer and focusing his eyes on hers competitively until she blinked. Then he pulled away again, "Since the moment I saw you." He said in a gentle voice. “It looks like a man cave that is co-inhabited by an eight-year-old”Matt burst out chuckling, the comment caught him off guard. Then he put on a mock sullen look and a 'nagging wife' voice, "That's nice, I work hard making the place nice and you don't appreciate it, you don't appreciate me. I did my hair and you didn't even notice did you?" But he soon gave way to laughing and stopped when Grace gently swatted him on the shoulder. It was all in good fun and he had missed their banter while she was back at the old house. “What are you up to this time?” "Mmm, You'll have to wait until Kaylee gets home." He said with a touch of mystery. "I should probably go get my car from the neighbor’s house and put it in the garage before someone thinks I am up to something”"Yeah, don't think a parked car is gonna draw suspicion as much as you climbing in through the bathroom window." He teased lightly, though there was a lot of truth to that. It was only a moment later when Matt turned his head to look at the window as he heard a car pulling up outside. He looked back at Grace who he hadn't been able to let go of since he got her in his arms for the first time since he had moved into the new house, "That will be Kaylee being dropped of from her play date."

“Mhmm. You sure do.” Kurtis was sworn to secrecy. He would certainly understand if she wanted to hide away for a few days with Matt and her daughter. “No one knows.” She reminded him. Then again Kaylee and secrets, one could never be too sure. Smirking she was glad she could make him smile. “Oh? You think that’s a crime now too eh?” When he pulled away and starting using that nagging wife voice she faked a glare. The expression died a terrible death the moment he mentioned hair. Grace could give all of a rat’s rear what her hair looked like on most days unless she had to go out somewhere. “Do me a favor, don’t ever pick up a barber’s license.” She teased running her hands through his hair. “That’s getting a bit on the long side isn’t it?” Grace had been around long enough to know the line of regulation. Though she had always loved his hair when it got a bit longer. His air of playing keep away made her roll her eyes in jest. Though when he mentioned the window. “Different neighbor.” Just what her neighbors needed, to find out just how quirky she was. Though to be fair, they were probably going to learn in time. When he mentioned Kaylee being home she smiled. “Just don’t tell her I climbed in the window. I don’t want her to have nightmares about people getting into the house.” Grace had her own protectiveness that came out as mother henning at times. Though honestly being wrapped up in Matt’s arms she didn’t want to move. Tag: Petty Officer Matthew Cole

“Do me a favor, don’t ever pick up a barber’s license.”Matt smirked, "Well I didn't cut it myself now did I? I'm not Kaylee when she was 5." He retorted, jokingly. “That’s getting a bit on the long side isn’t it?”Matt groaned ever so lightly in agreement, "Yeah, I suppose it is." He admitted. "I'll go and have it cut soon." He said as he slid his arms up, putting his hands on Grace's back, "Before I get yelled at." He added with a slight smile. Like Grace he preferred his hair slightly longer, but regulations were regulations. When she told him it was a different neighbor he just shrugged. She would meet all the neighbors soon enough anyway, and Matt and Kaylee had already talked about her in conversation so the neighbors had some idea of what to expect...though being told about something was different to actually seeing it up close and personal. “Just don’t tell her I climbed in the window. I don’t want her to have nightmares about people getting into the house.” He looked at Grace more seriously, "No, of course not. I wouldn't want her to worry." He assured his wife. It was his job to keep his girls safe and make them feel safe. No way was he gonna make his little princess fret about people scaling trees and climbing in through bathroom windows. Locks on doors and windows was grown up stuff anyway and Kaylee didn't need to know anything about it. Besides all that mattered was that her mother was here now, and how she had decided to get into the house was not important. Matt heard the car door shut and the sound of the engine as it pulled away again, "Here she comes." He said looking Grace in the eyes again, he didn't want to let go of her but he had to. Slipping his arms from around Grace he headed towards the front door, but before he got all the way there Kaylee entered and ran towards him with a big smile and open arms as usual. Matt always loved how happy Kaylee was to see him whenever he came home from work or when she came home after being gone for anything more than two hours, and he treasured the way she always greeted him with a hug like that. He knew it wouldn't be long before that all stopped, before his little girl would be glued to her phone or gizmo of some kind and would barley give him a "hi" and distracted nod, and it wouldn't be that long before she would start showing attitude and the 'not talking to you' protests. Oh he had all that to look forwards to but it didn't bear thinking about, he just opened his arms to catch her and lifted her up with a loving smile of his own, "Hey princess. Did you have fun on your play date?" "Yep!" She said with a grin as Matt put her on his hip, "We played in a tent in the living room and we had a tea party and then we made some slime because Tonya's mom had a video on Youtube and she helped us." "Wow. You guy's had so much fun." He replied with an appropriate level of enthusiasm, "Did you thank Tonya's mom for having you over?" Even though Matt generally had a fairly relaxed parenting style he still taught Kaylee to watch her manners... besides Grace was around to hear him now, even if Kaylee didn't know it yet. He had to keep up the pretense that he and Kaylee hadn't been making the most of it while Grace had been away and that they hadn't been cutting a little loose with the house rules. A secret that would stay theirs forever if the mess they left in the kitchen this morning doesn't given it away to Garace. "Yep." Kaylee replied to his queation with a single, firm nod, "Good girl." He said as he put her back down. He tried to conceal a smile as Kaylee went running into the living room full of energy, if he always got a hug like that after being away from her for just a few hours then he could only imagine that Grace was gonna get tackled. Grace wandering back into the kitchen while the two were outside. She was one of those people who always had to be doing something, kept busy. Being idle was something she really hated. Though the kitchen was cleaned, she figured that Kaylee would probably be hungry. It was that time of the day. Grace was like clockwork when it came to Kaylee’s routine. She could only hope it wasn’t too far out of whack while she had been gone. Grace stayed fairly quiet in the kitchen, until the crashing sound of a now broken plate gave her away. She wasn’t quite awake yet but she started picking it up before Kaylee could have a chance to come running into the kitchen. Grace got clutzy when she got tired, it was one of the many things that gave her away. The nap, she thought was going to be enough but there was no way. She heard the pattering of feet running through the house as she cleaned up the last of the broken plate. “Don’t trip.” She called quietly just to catch her daughter’s attention. There was a smile on her face. Grace couldn’t hide the joy of being home. The military had taught her a few things, one was that home was anywhere your family took you. Though she was so tired of all the moving and the deployments but she had taken to hiding that side of herself. There was no use talking about something that couldn’t be changed. Most of all she hide it from Kaylee. It was only going to be a few years before Kaylee asked why she kept busy all the time, but right now she was just falling into habits. She came over and hugged her daughter. She couldn’t pick her up, not like Matt did. Grace was much smaller framed and muscled, but she did hug Kaylee like she had Matt earlier. Like she never wanted to let go. The two stumbled and Grace was pinned on the wall. Tag: Petty Officer Matthew Cole

Matt watched Kaylee as she ran away from him, throwing her backpack on the settee. Then he heard the crashing sound of a plate hitting the floor, he closed his eyes tightly at the noise before opening them again and shaking his head with an amused smile, Grace was home alright. Truth was he had missed all the bang, crash, wallop while Grace was away, her clumsiness was part of who she was and he found it rather endearing...well, most of the time anyway. “Don’t trip.” Kaylee's eyes lit up as an excited gasped escaped her mouth when she heard her mothers voice, "Mommy!"
Running to her she through her arms around Grace energetically and rested her head on her torso, keeping hold of her as they both stumbled into the wall. Matt walked to the kitchen and stopping in the door way he crossed his arms and smiled contently as he watched his girls for a moment. Once again he found himself wondering how he had been so blessed as he looked at them both. "I missed you!" She said snuggling her head against her mother, "I'm glad you're home." She pulled away from her enough to look up at her, "I kept Dad out of trouble while you were gone..." Kaylee shook her head and sighed, "But there was only so much I could do, he can't tie his shoes without you." Oh yes, she had developed her parents, especially Matt's, humor and couldn't resist teasing her father. It was what she and Matt did when they weren't pranking each other, especially when Grace wasn't around. "Hay!" Matt protested amusedly. But after a second he tipped his head a little and shrugged, jokingly conceding to her statement "Well, that's true." Kaylee giggled then Matt walked over to the pair, "You see what we created?" He asked Grace playful as he pointed to their daughter, causing Kaylee to giggle again. Tag: Gracelyn Cole .

Grace was overpowered by the eight year old and didn’t mind it one bit as she hugged her daughter back. “You kept Daddy out of trouble?” She chuckled. “That’s a really big task you know.” Grace said finitely as she hugged her daughter. After Kaylee confirmed what Grace was thinking about it being a big task and something about shoelaces, Grace smirked and put her lips to her daughters ear. “Next time, bring him velcro shoes” she was teasing Matt where only Kaylee could hear. Then Matt confirmed what Kaylee had said and it left Grace just shaking her head but a yawn came from her mouth and she couldn’t contain any more of her tiredness. Grace most definitely didn’t feel like cooking tonight and she looked at the clock. Grace shook her head, of the three she was the most quiet and introverted; but they knew how to make her laugh and smile. “You mean your creation that I somehow got mixed up in” she teased. “I mean someone had to teach manners.” Grace stuck her tongue out at Matt just to get a reaction out of him. Grace wrapped one arm around Matt and one arm around Kaylee. “What do you two want to do about dinner?” She quipped lightly. Tag: Petty Officer Matthew Cole
