Jess smiled when he said she'd be ready when the time came and that it was an important job she did keeping equipment going. A lot of people never saw it that way and it was nice to hear. "Thanks." She said with appreciation, "You're really nice." She told him, though she didn't know what kind of a character he really was and what kind of life he led. "Sorry. I think the drinks are going to my head a little." She said when he told her she hadn't already asked that question, She leaned in a little and put a hand to one side of her mouth as if she was about to tell him a secret, "I had a glass of wine with diner." She confessed playfully in a loudly whisper. A glass of wine, a shot of Tequila and nearly two pink raspberry cosmopolitans meant she was definitely getting tipsy. In fact she would have to start thinking about going home once she finished what she had left of her cosmo, she couldn't stay at the bar and drink anything else or she'd get herself completely drunk and that wasn't what she planed on doing tonight. "Do you have any family anywhere else?" She asked, making friendly conversation now the subject of family had been mentioned, "I have a brother. But he doesn't live here any more, spread his wings went to collage and moved away after." She shared, again not that he had asked. But she was friendly and chatty at the best of times and it was only coming out even stronger now she was tipsy as well as being excited about actually being out. Tag: Remington Monroe.

Remy smiled at Jessica as she thanked him for his words, saying that he was nice. "Glad you think so," he commented. Probably wouldn't think that if she knew who I really was, he thought to himself. But she didn't, so it was all good. Hey, it wasn't like he'd do anything to hurt her anyway. She was military and he respected the military as well as women, so two-fer. Yeah, he sounded like an idiot. Oh well.
When she apologized, saying that she thought the drinks were going to her head, explaining that she had had a glass of wine with dinner, he shook his head, dismissing the apology. "You're fine," he assured. "I'm enjoying it." He wasn't really that big of a talker and he was actually enjoying listening to her.
At her question of whether or not they had family anywhere, going on to say that she had a brother who didn't live there anymore, explaining that he spread his wings during college and that she had moved away soon after, he shook his head. "No, no family, except my girl," he responded. As far as he knew, his old man was still in prison and there was no he was going to classify Brock as family considering their history would make that weird as hell.

Jess smiled when he said he was enjoying listening to her talk. It was a good job because she was being little miss chatty right now with the extra aid of the drinks flowing around her system. She nodded when he said the only family he had was his girl. That was both sad and very sweet at the same time, "It must be so nice to have someone though." She said to him with a smile. For her it was the other way around, she had family but didn't have that special someone just yet. Though she was in the market and had in fact been chatting up some men with her friend earlier that evening. She finished of the last couple of sips of her drink and put the glass down on the bar just before she wobbled on her stool a little. She put a hand on the bar to steady herself and chuckled lightly, "Oh, the happy juice is kicking in." She said with a playful grin. She wasn't drunk but she was tipsy, which served to lift her already bubbly spirits even more and was the cue that she should call it a night. "I've had a really nice time talking with you, but I should get myself home. Thank you for the drink." She said politely. She hopped down off the stool, faulting ever so slightly as her high heels touched the floor. She balanced herself and picked up her handbag from the counter before looking to Remington one last time, "Good luck with your job and I hope you and your girlfriend work it out." She said optimistically. "Good night." She smiled politely. It had been a fun night. She should do this more often she thought to herself as she put the strap of her handbag over her shoulder and walked to the door. Tag: Remington Monroe. Remy smiled as Jessica stated that it must be nice to have someone. "It is," he confirmed. Sure, sometimes he and Sandra fought like cats and dogs, but she was always there for him, helping him without whatever he needed. So lucky to have her, he thought to himself. To be perfectly honest, he wasn't sure what he would do without her. Well, you know, besides crash and burn. But hopefully, he'd never have to find that out.
He watched her a bit worriedly as she stated that the happy juice was kicking in, thanking him for the drink and saying that she had had a nice time talking to him, and that she should be getting home. "Okay, take care," he responded. "And I had a nice time too," he added. It was nice talking to her, he thought to himself. Hopefully they could do it again sometime.
Then she jumped off the stool and as soon as she stumbled, he was immediately at her side even as she wished him luck with his job, adding that she hoped he and Sandra worked things out. "Let me call you a cab," he requested. "And I'm sure we will. We always do," he assured. She shouldn't be worried about me. Not worth that, he thought to himself. He had never been worth that. No, what they needed to be worried about right now was her.
