Aiden had gotten his hands on the new roster for the Pedro. A woman, they’d put another female officer on the Pedro del Valle. This one was borrowed or something. Some warrant officer but still, she was going to be on board the pedro for some training exercise over in Somalia. Why couldn’t the Bristol just keep her own people on board and not share them with the rest of the fleet. Okay, so he had older philosophies about women on ships and on submarines. It just wasn’t right. A ship was only so big, it wasn’t like you could undress in front of them or they could undress in front of you. Women on board ships just didn’t make sense in his opinion.
That wasn’t to say he didn’t think women should serve or be officers. In fact, his girlfriend outranked him but she was in the medical field. Though he had to admit that he’d be more protective of her if she had gone into a field other than medicine. Aiden sighed and sipped his coffee. There was nothing he could do about the assignment. It’s only temporary. Right just like every other guest who was going to be on the board with the fleet. Hell for all he knew the Bristol kicked her off because they needed the space for training or something. This was going to be a fun list to bring to the commander.

He was a bag of nerves. Alexander knew that leaving a good impression on his new SEAL team family was important - SEAL team 11 and their commanding officer; Captain Brian Kree. It was something he felt he needed to 're-prove' himself. Alex knew that he had proven himself worthy of being part of the JTF, he wanted it to remain that way. Having been through BUD/S and having made it into being a fully-fledged SEAL had changed him for the better because he knew that remaining with that drunken dog of a man, Leonard, his life would have been for the worst. He walked into the cafe, his eyes checking for free seats. His dog, Stilton, was by his side as he held the leash shorter. Stilton was intelligent enough to know not to wander into any of the booths but Alex could tell that he was certainly interested in the food. That in itself brought a smile onto his face. Of course, he had not noticed that Stilton was currently sitting on his hind legs, sniffing at another man until Alex had turned around at the slight tension in the leash. He quickly pulled Stilton back some before approaching the man to apologise. "I'm very sorry, sir," Alex said. "Should have noticed this sooner. I was just looking at their menu."Tag:: Lt Cmd Aiden Campbell

Aiden wasn’t exactly an animal person. Mostly because he was deployed a good bit of the time and he lived by himself. It wasn’t really fair to an animal but he didn’t exactly have a bond with them or anything. When the dog came to sniff around the table and ended up sniffing his shoe Aiden quirked a brow. Some people really needed to learn to pay attention. About to open his mouth the officer heard the younger man apologize. Aiden, like many of the navy personnel lived in Tierney and was based out of Charleston. Sure, he could stay in Charleston but Tierney wasn’t as expensive and the mountains made for a nice place to relax. That was when people weren’t dragging their dogs into restuarants. Lucky for Aiden, he hadn’t been eating. The only thing on the table on the table was his coffee. “Don’t worry about.” That was Aiden’s polite way of telling someone to stop talking. Though he wasn’t about to bust out the words. Aiden could be a bit of jerk when he wanted to be. Tag: Petty Officer Alex Jackson

Tightening the leash around his hand, Alex made sure Stilton was not going anywhere any time soon. He had a profound bond with his dog, and though he didn't get to see him all the time, they still loved to play catch with one another like it had only been yesterday. But, seeing that the response to his apology had been short - it was probably best not to push his luck. Some did not want to be disturbed on their day out and there were various factors he had to consider. Alexander did not want to make enemies out of the people in this town - he had enough of them overseas being a SEAL; not that he brandished it like a sword. Being in Tierney, there was a high chance that this man was military but once again, the man didn't want to be disturbed and so, he moved on. Alex tugged the border collie mix over to the queue and glanced at the menu - both hands holding the leash now. In the end, he went with a full breakfast to sate the appetite and have plenty in the gas tank to burn before heading over to the booth and sat down. Stilton sat down, head resting against his owner's lap, looking up at him. Dogs had always understood him, better than his step-father and step-brother would ever know. They were intelligent and certainly not judging of one's opinions, which made them the ultimate good listeners. "Probably will have to hand you back over to mom, Stilton...Make sure you look after her, alright? Don't let Lenny anywhere near her." Alex said softly, rubbing his dog behind his ear.
