Aiden was finally back, it was turning out to be the best day besides the whole having to work thing that ruined the welcome back from your last tour ideas Savannah had planned. Instead she had agreed to meet him that night at a bar, the details were arranged for a quiet drink and of course that huge ‘yay you’re back’ phase that she had tried to brush off all day. Sure the word was tried given she was bouncing around despite what had met her that day already.
Luckily Savannah had managed to wrap up her last surgery in good time which left her time enough to get home and attempt to find something decent to wear. Her hair was done, make up and nails which was about as girly as she had ever been. Well her mother would have been proud though she figured it wasn’t going to be great looking like she had just stepped out of work or been up all night. Sure she had been but mostly because she was too excited to sleep because she knew Aiden was back the next day.
After spending a half hour tearing her wardrobe to shreds she settled on her favourite royal blue silk shirt and black trousers with heels. Sure the little black dress in the back of her wardrobe wasn’t exactly bar wear she figured so she stuck with her choice. Even if she attempted to switch it around another few times. The time soon arrived to get going as she got a cab out to the bar, it was a nice enough place. Light food, good beer, music and the sort of place that had both military and civilians. Savannah knew she was early when the cab pulled up to the bar, too early to simply hang around and wait outside for Aiden as she decided to get a table inside as she looped her black jacket over her arm.
Savannah started to make her way to an available table when she felt the hand catch her arm. She turned to see a guy that had more of a leering look than anything staring at her. “Hey baby, why don’t you join us for a drink or three?” The guy said laughing as Savannah smiled and shook her head. “Thanks but no thanks.” She said as she went to take a few more steps away as she pulled her arm free. Turning her back she shrugged it off until she felt the hand on her arm again, this time tighter than she was comfortable with as she felt the guy pull her back as she heard the fabric on the shoulder of her shirt rip a little.
“Fan flipping tastic.” She said in her most sarcastic tone possible as the smile on her face left to be replaced by a glare. “Do you have any idea...” Savannah bit her lip, of course a guy would have no idea how long it took her to get ready as she stared death daggers at the guy. Savannah was attempting not to go ballistic as she took another step away only to be dragged by the arm back to the bar. Well there was a seat but she wasnt about to have any dealings with the guy as he tapped the available seat though his eyes weren’t even looking at hers, mostly at her backside which only annoyed her more.
Savannah was capable enough to take care of herself but getting written up for starting an argument, she knew how that went. The 'you should have known better and he was a civilian' chat that usually went along with a whole world of other issues. Nope it just wasnt worth the trouble. "Not interested jerk just back off." She snapped as she went to walk away again to the table she had seen. All she could think was that she was thankful Aiden wasn’t there yet, she could only imagine how this might go over if he was early too.
