1600 Medical Bay Pedro Del Valle Off the coast of Somalia Aiden didn't remember when the helo landed but he was rushed to the medical bay by some of the Coast Guard paramedics. "He's got a lot of bleeding going on. He passed out about 4 minutes ago. Pretty sure his collar bone is broken." The medic told Savannah. He had other's to get but he needed to make sure that was Aiden was stable. "Corporal Zorn said he was hit when the other RHIB exploded. She thinks he might have gotten nailed with the debris." He pointed out. "But it looks like more than that Ma'am." He replied keeping pressure on the wound. The lights, the were bothering him. Aiden weakly moved his head. "Explosion." He mumbled. His head hurt but that was to be expected when you did something like break a collar bone. He had lost a fair bit of blood but his semi conscious state suggested that he may not have passed out from blood loss. He caught sight of Savannah out of the corner of his eye. Med bay. Not where he wanted to be, but he knew that if Savannah was here that things were going to be okay. Tag: Lt. Col. Savannah Caffery

1600 Medical Bay Pedro Del Valle Off the coast of Somalia Savannah was used to the busyness of a medical bay, everything was everywhere but there had to be order within the apparent chaos. Treat and onto the next one which had been her thing until she heard the Coast Guard paramedics. “Okay, got it.” She said though when she looked at the patient they had her heart practically fell to her feet. “Aiden.” She gasped, her eyes hardly believing what they were seeing as she listened to what was being said. “Likely broken collar bone, blood loss, pain. I’ll take over from here and thanks for the save.” She said trying to smile though beneath it she was anything but happy. “No, no Aiden don’t move.” Savannah said as she placed her hands over the wound as she pressed on it to try and stop the bleeding. “You were in an explosion yes but now you’re in med bay and we’re going to make sure you’re alright.” Savannah explained as confidently as she could as her free hand tugged a trolley stacked with equipment toward her. Trying to concentrate when the person she loved was badly hurt, yeah it was more like going through the motions without actually trying to feel a thing. It worked up until it didnt. “Want to explain why the XO isn’t on the ship? Why the hell the XO was in an explosion that happened on an RHIB off the ship?” Savannah asked in the most sarcastic tone she had, of course laced with the British accent that usually came through the minute she was upset or stressed it seemed to kick a little more. “Of the Captain doesn’t kick your ass for that stunt I will.” She stated as she reached for some more gauze to pack over his wound for a moment. Her hand found the two rolls of padding as she placed one at either side of his head. “Don’t make me duct tape you to these to stop you moving your head.” Savannah added. “Keep still and keep talking.” As she barked at one of the ensigns on the med bay rotation to get her his blood type from the stores as she placed an IV on the metal pole before her hand reached for his good arm. “Please don’t move Lt. Commander Campbell.” Savannah said fighting every word in the book to stop herself from calling him anything else. No she was on his case and she wasnt about to give that up because they were dating. If anything it made her more qualified in her mind to keep him alive though she knew the rules but a gun fight wasnt exactly making thing easy. Tag: Lt Cmd Aiden Campbell

Medical Bay Pedro Del Valle Off the coast of Somalia That voice. Savannah, no no no. She didn’t need to be here. That last thing he needed an earful for was doing his job. Women were so… annoying. Though he couldn’t blame her for worrying, he just wished she wouldn’t yell at him for doing his job. Though he knew that was just a pipe dream. There were so many reasons that he didn’t think women needed to be in the military and the hormonal yelling and screaming, yes that was best left out of things. Med bay. This was not where he wanted to be. He groaned and hissed as she pressed on the wound. It hurt. Though he wasn’t about to sit and cry about it. He could hear Savaanah’s voice, the worry in it. No, this was all sorts of wrong. Whatever was going on, he didn’t want to deal with it right now. He let Savannah work, despite everything going on he trusted her. Even if he was irate at her for her attitude. He had orders to accompany the team on the RHIB. “Captain ordered me to be on the boat.” He wasn’t trying to throw Everett under the bus but it was the truth. He had orders to be on that RHIB so that is exactly where he went. And there went the hormonal woman that seemed to be barking up the wrong tree. If she thought he was going to just sit and talk after her attitude then she had her own pipe dream to handle. Hearing her yelling and barking at people wasn’t earning her any favors in his book. She was stressed out but she really needed to learn to handle the stress better. Again, women got too emotionally attached to people to think straight at times. Why did his girlfriend even have to prove to him that he was right about women in the chain of command. Tag: Lt. Col. Savannah Caffery

Savannah wasnt usually the lose it sort of person, no she liked her job the fact that she could do some good and make sense of what was out there. Normally she was decisive and knew exactly what to do but with Aiden, he made the entire thing different. She had a point of barely knowing the people on her table, it was what made the distance easy. Then he had to go and get himself blown out of the water when he should have been on board the ship. The one place she didnt want to be for the fact it was never still. “Don’t be such a cry baby.” Savannah stated knowing that he wouldnt be much of a fan of where he was or the fact she was there either. His thoughts on women were exactly a secret but then there were times when she wanted to smack him for even thinking that way. Then again he was a typical man, half the human race was a man so she couldnt exactly hold that against him too much. Even if she felt like yelling at him for getting hurt in the first place. “So it’s McKinley that I need to go chew out. Thanks for being honest.” She said with as much attitude as previous though yelling at the captain of the boat, probably not the best idea until she was on solid ground. Then it was anyone’s guess what she would find to say to the guy, even now she figured if he came near all he would get was a brief update, a lot of sass and several glares to boot. Savannah expected a little more of a reaction though she soon realised she was on the receiving end of the silent treatment. Try to help a guy out and he didnt even talk anymore. Story of her life she thought as she stretched her neck, rocking it from side to side for a moment before she took a breath. She knew he would need surgery as she pressed another pack of gauze onto the wound only briefly taking her hands away for the xray to be taken. No if he wanted professional she could give him that as she placed the false smile on her face, the look that said it was an offering of peace but barely that. “So there are two options here, we can put you under and I will fix up your collar bone. Pin and plate it and I’ll see you when you wake up, or I can give you the option to stay awake and talk while I fix you up. You would feel anything from the neck down. Choice is yours.” Savannah stated as she saw one of the nurses put up the xray as she glanced over them for a moment. Leaning over Aiden for a moment she tried to see the wound from another angle. “You’ll be out for six to eight weeks for this to heal then you’ll need physio for a week or two. Shouldn’t be out more than ten weeks if all goes well.” She added before the rolled her eyes, oh she was tired of talking like she was as far removed from him as possible. Leaning closer to his ear she smiled slightly, “And if you keep up this not talking then I’ll make sure you don’t get you’re welcome home surprise.” She whispered quietly, “Or any form of sympathy from me for those ten weeks... or maybe eleven.” Pushing away for a moment Savannah kept pressure on his wound as her eyes went to xrays. “Now talk to me about anything Campbell, that’s an order from a doctor to a patient. Just keep talking for me.” Savannah stated. Tag: Lt Cmd Aiden Campbell
