January 2017 0600 hrs JTF HQ
The ride had been rough, his eyes crusted with remnants of sleep. His legs were sore, as everyone got up to exit the plane - many were relieved by coming back home alive, though the time was early morning, the cooling breeze of stateside air brushed across his face as he entered the airport. He had been transferred over to Tierney only recently; Julien had been the first one of his family to have made the journey - his sister had said that there would be a possibility that she may join him, however, it was most likely that his family would stay rooted in where they were.
From one method of transportation to another, Julien soon found himself taking a trip down to the JTF headquarters. The taxi driver had initiated conversation about his career choice, and how his own son had been thinking about enlisting himself. Words came to him, but he had decided at this time of morning it was better to say little about the subject manner and talk on things that he may have missed from being overseas. His unit tried to stay in touch with the news and the world around them as best as they could, but an eleven month mission could only handle news for so long.
"Much appreciated, have a good morning, sir." Julien said, closing the taxi's door - his duffelbag in hand as he stood outside the front doors of the JTF HQ.

Arriving at 0500hrs James had gotten in early, did loads of paperwork and at 0600hrs James was waiting in the lobby of the JTF HQ, dressed in his dress blues, and waiting patiently just inside the door of a backroom, leaning against the frame as he watched everything happen around him, he was waiting for the new guy to arrive - he had a plan and he was amused, under his arm he held a file and in his other hand he had a cup holder with two hot containers.
Seeing movement coming towards the main doors he straightened up to a stand.

He arrived a bit after the taxi in front of him, not that he had thought much of it to begin with but as he exited the cab he arrived in he realised it was another marine, not that he thought much of it. As he got out of the taxi he straightened his green uniform before moving up next to the Gunnery Sergeant "Morning, sir" he said straightening his posture having a feeling he'd seen the guy before but he wasn't exactly sure.
OOC: Sorry for the short and not very eventful reply, not sure what to write

Riding with James meant she had been in the office at Zero five. She was fussing with the computer system and checking to make sure there were no attempted data breaches. The Colonel had been awake most of the night and had managed a two hour nap before James had woken her up. No, she had been a grouch this morning. There was not enough tea to fix the problem. That was something she would have to get her aide to go in search of some decent tea. Most places worth it weren't open yet. Military or not the town was still not much bigger than the base itself and there was not any decent tea on base. At least none that was to her liking. Stephanie was particular about EVERYTHING. It was a wonder anyone could deal with her. Grumbling something to herself she started back at her work on hand. Today she had to redo a good portion of the system to handle more internet traffic. Their connection in here was nothing short of terrible. Not that there wasn't others who could do it, just she felt like having it done right the first time. She had little patience for mistakes today. Tag: Gy Sgt. Julien Foxwell, reagan,@vinigan (Only ones who have to be sir ed or ma'am ed are officers. Emilee had seen little of the base or the surrounding town on her way in, as she had been too tired to keep her eyes open. Her flight had been a bit bumpy and she had been unable to get comfortable enough to nap, so once she had gotten into the cab and given him her destination she had fallen asleep almost instantly. Luckily the cab driver had been an honest man and had gently shaken her awake once they had reached headquarters. She had thanked the cab driver giving him a generous tip after he had pulled her bags from the trunk for her. She stood in front of the building for a moment wiping the sleep from her eyes, before heading inside in search of a restroom. Once inside the bathroom she pulled her long blonde hair up, before splashing some cool water on her face. She had foregone any make up yesterday/today for this exact reason, by now it would have been smeared all over her face anyway. She knew she was early so she took a few minutes to pull herself together straightening her uniform and trying make herself look presentable again before heading back out in search of someone that could point her in the right direction. Unfortunately for her most of the building was deserted at this hour. After finally finding someone and being pointed in the right direction she had found the Colonel's office and had made her introductions and had been invited to wait inside for the others to arrive. Emilee had been in the Colonel's office for all of about a minute before she asked the woman if there was anything she could do to help her this morning. She had been filing paperwork like the Colonel had requested since and had been watching her fuss with the internet system server in the office, and definitely got the vibe that the woman was in no mood to be messed with. So Emilee had remained silent and tried to do what was requested of her and stay out of the way as best she could, she was there to report for duty not upset an officer on her first day. Tag: Col. The gunnery sergeant had been told to look out for either the XO or the CO, they had given him brief descriptions of what the man and woman had looked like, but from the way they stood - and having spent a great deal of time around officers, there was something to their personas that seemed to give them away. He would presume the man standing with coffees in both hands and a file tucked under one arm and dressed in his dress blues clearly looking for someone, was Captain Reagan. His eyes were diverted by an approaching marine - LCpl Vinigan was what it said on his name tag. His eyes narrowed ever so slightly as his brain fought to remember where he had seen that name last. "Morning, sir" "Morning Lance Corporal," Julien turned to face the younger marine with a slight nod. "No real warning this time, Vinigan, but tends to only be officers who are addressed by sir." He excused himself for a moment from Vinigan as he straightened his shoulders and began to approach the captain. "Morning, Captain. Gunnery Sergeant Foxwell, recently been transferred. I was told to either look for you or Colonel Amberson having touched down in Tierney at 0430."

As the two Marines entered James easily spotted the gunny and straightened up properly "Morning, Captain. Gunnery Sergeant Foxwell, recently been transferred. I was told to either look for you or Colonel Amberson having touched down in Tierney at 0430." frowning ever so slightly James smirked "Good to see you here bright and early. Gunnery Sergeant Foxwell. Colonel Amberson, The XO is expecting her tea." he held out one of the cups "Straight down the hall, on the left. I'll be right behind you". He glanced over at the other Marine a LCpl and then looking back at Foxwell he watched to see what the Gunny would do.

As he entered the office right after the Gunnery Sergeant he was a bit surprised to see that there was already an officer there so he simply stood at attention as the Gunnery Sergeant started speaking. So Foxwell was his name, now he remembered the guy, it had been awhile since last he seen him. Standing at attention he didn't say anything only observing the ordeal with the Captain asking the Gunny to go with tea for the XO, seemed a bit odd request for a first meeting, would the guy end up making these off requests for everybody there. And should he follow after them if they left to the office.

Stephanie had a rough morning and those usually set the tone for her day. At least the blonde marine that had come in was quiet and helpful. Stephanie appreciated her willingness to not poke around and be nosey into what she was doing. Staring at the code itself was pointless. There was entirely too much internet traffic to keep things operating smoothly. Getting up she started playing with a new router. Sitting Indian style on the floor, she grabbed ethernet cords around and tossed them beside her. Sitting on the floor never bothered the Colonel. Stephanie liked to do things herself. Then she knew they were done properly. Getting the tech team from the other side of base would take too long. When she knew how to do it, there was little point in wasting the time of another unit. Cursing under her breath as she realized there was simply not enough cord here. WHY was this place still on ethernet cords? Okay she gave herself a project. But that was not happening today. She started putting it all back together. Tag: @emilee, Gy Sgt. Julien Foxwell, reagan,@vinigan

Emilee was simply doing what she did best, being quiet and staying out of the way. She was trying to be helpful as she focused on the filing that the Colonel had asked her to do. She was a bit surprised when the other woman sat down on the floor and started messing with the router and all of the cables. Emilee didn't know much about computers but she knew enough to call things by their proper name. As she watched she could tell that the woman definitely knew what she was doing, but something must not be working out to her liking as Emilee heard her curse under her breath. Making quick work of filing the paperwork, she finished up and asked with a smile, "Is there anything else I can help you with Ma'am or would you prefer I just stay out of the way?" Emilee looked at the mess of wires on the floor and at the router, she had no idea how the woman could tell one wire from another or remember where they went so she knew she'd be better off leaving that work to the experts. Filing she could do, something she was good at. It was as simple as putting things in alphabetical order and then putting them in the correct spot. Emilee was also pretty good at keeping her head down, following directions, and keeping out of trouble. It was something that had served her well in boot camp as well as her time so far in the military. She didn't question authority, and even if she had a sarcastic response to something she knew enough to keep it to herself and simply do as she was told. Tag: Col. Stephanie Huntley, reagan, Gy Sgt. "Good to see you here bright and early. Gunnery Sergeant Foxwell. Colonel Amberson, The XO is expecting her tea." Julien took the cup of tea in his hand, a slight frown was the only indication that he was going to get for the odd request. "Straight down the hall, on the left. I'll be right behind you"He nodded, but continued to stand on the spot, his eyes trailing over to the LCpl. There was a time and place for a response - including the arguement that he was a gunny, not a coffee boy. They usually had some errand boy. Julien turned on his heel and headed down the hall, nodding as he passed others, pausing at the door before giving three clear knocks. At the XO's beckoning, he entered. His eyes looked around as he stood at attention, cup still raised. "Apologies for the interruption, ma'am. But, Captain Reagan instructed me to hand you your cup of tea." Julien stopped, jaw clamping shut in wait for a response. Tag: reagan,@vinigan, Col. Stephanie Huntley,@emilee,

He knew the Gunny was a little surprised to be doing this 'task' but all would become clear later, he knew the guy probably wanted to question it but couldn't in front of the LCpl, once the Gunny was walking towards the office which he (James) shared with Steph James glanced at the LCpl "At ease Lance Corporal, follow me" he kept hold of the cup still in his hand whilst walking with the folder still under his arm with his cover - his other arm free for whatever that might need doing.
As the Gunny knocked and entered the office James stayed behind - slightly hidden by the man blocking the door "Apologies for the interruption, ma'am. But, Captain Reagan instructed me to hand you your cup of tea."
James glanced sideways at the Lance Corporal - he was well aware there was a PFC inside the room too, but if Steph was still in her 'mood' oh this could get nasty quick - he did feel a little bad for the gunny - but if he could withstand the XO he was going to be good in his books... he'd not get his morning coffee though...
He knew he would suffer later himself but he'd put up with worse.
(Note: I realise I forgot to have him have his cover with him so I had it be under the folder under his arm xD)

At the command of 'at ease' from the captain he in one fluent motion went into the position of at ease folding his hands on his back, he moved like you'd expect from a marine who'd have this drilled into him. " Aye aye sir" he simply replied as he followed after the Captain and the gunny now made delivery boy, if this is what he should expect from a special force he wasn't sure how he was going to feel. What got it to seem even more odd was that the captain was going to the office himself, why wouldn't he just have done it himself, it was starting to seem very odd but maybe in the navy the officers just weren't allowed to seem nice. Even though there was the Captain and the Gunny in front of him he could see some of what was going on in the office although he didn't know much about who was in there, well at least there was the XO. Stephanie appreciated the offer for help but the day wasn't getting any better. "Your CO should be in shortly." She wasn't even sure why the medical attachment was running around. Then again the offices for most of the CO's were in the same building but hardly any of the other floors were open. No one got here this early in this building on a regular basis. JTF had the ground floor because they were one of the exceptions. First in, last out. That's just how things worked around here. "Can you tell me what a VPN is private, or a firewall?" If the woman was smart she would get the point. It was odd that anyone but the NCO for the office came in for errands. James never sent her coffee. Or maybe the Gunny was lost and had stumbled into James. Something was missing. The gunnery sergeant stood at attention. Okay, she'd give him that much at least he'd paid attention. Stephanie didn't even have the cups to her lips and she made a face. "Do you know what tea is Gunny?" Stephanie knew she was missing a piece of this mess but she was angry and pent up. Stephanie was not paying attention and hadn't seen James in the room. She opened the lid to show Julien what was in it. "What is this?" Grabbing the gunny by the back of the head she stuck the cup in his face. Stephanie could only stand the smell because she was used to it brewing in the house at times. It wasn't even the way James took his coffee, someone had clearly messed up the order if this was what this was supposed to be? It smelled like pumpkin? The smell of the pumpkin got to her and she made a face. Stephanie snapped the lid back onto the disgusting pumpkin coffee. Walking away she took a moment before wheeling around and pitching it at the gunnery sergeant. "Bring me a tea, no Cream and sugar." Now that she was done ranting and raving at the marine she smirked a little. "At ease." Except he hadn't been dismissed yet. She wanted to see if he would imply a dismissal or wait for commands to be given. She traveled back to her desk and started fumbling with wires once more. Tag: Gy Sgt. Emilee nodded when the Colonel told her that her CO would be in shortly, and took the hint when she asked her about a VPN and a firewall. "No Ma'am." She stood quietly by the wall and watched as the Gunny walked in with what he claimed was tea, Emilee couldn't smell anything over the aroma of what she figured was some kind of pumpkin something. She saw the face that the XO made when she got the cup closer to her face, and knew that someone was in trouble. Emilee sat back and watched everything unfold in front of her, finding that she had to bite her tongue to keep from laughing at the poor Gunny. There was something strange about this whole ordeal, but Emilee was too busy watching to try and figure out what it was. Emilee took in the other two people who had entered the office, one of them was clearly the CO and there was another young marine with him. Her attention snapped back to the Colonel as she took the lid off of what clearly wasn't tea and shoved the Gunny's face into it. She watched as her XO tossed the coffee at the Gunny and watched as the pumpkin smelling concoction dripped off of him and into the floor. What really threw Emilee was when the woman turned around and asked for Coffee with cream and sugar, she watched the other woman smirk and return to her desk to work with the wires again. 'Oh Joy... this is going to be fun' she thought to herself as she turned to the CO and other marines to get some kind of hint as to how she was supposed to react. Getting nothing she decided to fall back to her fail safe, keep your mouth shut and head down. She did just that and waited for further instructions from someone. Tag: Gy Sgt. Julien Foxwell, Col.
