It really had been an evening he wanted to forget and it could not happen soon enough. There was a reason that he had avoided almost all colleague dinners. Work had been his saving grace for a long time, that call which came at any point had given him the greatest escape excuse in the history of man. It had been his saving grace that night too, a call out to a scene and now he was at a loss of what he had to do. He was still relatively new to the Tierney, he hadn’t even had time to make any CI’s though that would all come with time despite the fact he felt like he was back at school again. It was why he had avoided a department family dinner thing at the expense of a crime scene and now was trying to find a decent place to get a drink. He wanted to try and avoid cops just in case any thought he was being anti social, sure he was but only he needed to know that.
Avoiding military, well at least they weren’t cops was all he could think as he found an out of the way looking place. It seemed nice enough, the rough and ready kind of place that he guessed hadn’t seen much law enforcement which was exactly what he was looking for her strolled in and took a seat at the bar. It was busy enough that he figured he could slip in unnoticed at least as he ordered a beer and held it tightly when it came.
It wasn’t Molly’s Bar but it was a bar he thought deciding he couldnt really pick and choose given his avoidance of people he worked with. Chicago it was easy enough to do but this place, he was still finding the lay of the land that was so unfamiliar to him as he took a sip of the cold beer as he stared at the wall behind the bar.

Erin wanted to get out of the house. With Kelly at work she’d decided to hit one of her favorite bars. Erin was known to drink the excess. Though she’d been hiding her drinking problem that was slowly creeping up after the gasoline incident. Sitting down at the bar she set her head down for a moment. That was until she turned it to the right and saw her dad. Okay well now she couldn’t avoid him. If she could see him then he was likely to see her. Getting up she moved closer stealing the seat beside him. “I’ll have what he’s having.” She pointed to the drink in Hank’s hand. Erin was trying to act normal but she was clearly exhausted. Her flight had just gotten back from overseas. The whole thing had been a giant mess. She leaned her head on Hank’s shoulder and stared at the counter of the bar. When she was handed a beer she reached for it picking her head up and looking to Hank. It was good to be home again and safe. “I need to apologize for dragging you out here.” Not that she didn’t want him out here, just she knew home to him was Chicago. “I should have left well enough alone.” She decided. No, if she had then she still could have been targeted. Though she was fairly certain it wasn’t an accident that she had been caught up in everything. Taking a long sip of her beer she stared at the glass once she set it down. Erin wanted her dad to be happy and she wasn't sure how he was adjusting but she was going to make it a point to find out. She was the one person he hadn’t expected to see at all that evening, Hank had barely taken his eyes off the wall behind the bar when he saw Erin sitting down. He wasnt sure if she wanted to see him there or even if she had seen him but that question was answered the minute she stole the seat beside him. Yes she had seen him as he glanced over at her. It was clear to him that she was exhausted, he didnt need to be a cop to see that and he knew she had been out of the country. Tierney was all new to him as he was trying to get his head around this JTF stuff, at least Chicago the furthest people went was the outskirts of the city and even then that was trip to be undertaken. Hank took another sip of his beer when Erin ordered and leaned her head on his shoulder. He placed his arm around her lightly happy to see her though he wasnt exactly sure where to start with anything as he moved his arm away when she picked up her head. “Hey dont apologise for dragging me anywhere because you didnt.” He stated shaking his head, “Last I remember I was old enough to make my own choices.” Sure had he been asked a few months ago did he think Tierney could be home, no but now his family was there and sure Chicago was home but then it wasnt anything without family. Hank stared at Erin for a moment as he took another sip of beer. “Yeah well as your dad I’m saying yeah you should have left well enough alone.” Hank stated remembering how terrified he had been on his way there to see Erin in hospital. “But how many other people did you save in doing what you did, lots I’m sure so I’m happy you got involved. It shows what a good cop you are and how proud I am of you.” Hank stated as he stared at the wall for a moment, and how terrified he was of losing her and how he wanted to rip the guy limb from limb that did it. “So you’re here and I’m here so no one did any dragging.” Hank said as he wondered about her drinking and what she had been up to. “Question time for you, what have you been up to and what did you do to Detective Harrison?” Hank asked knowing how that meeting had gone. Erin didn’t understand why Hank and Kelly were taking things so hard on themselves. It wasn’t like she was breakable. She was a woman, yes but that didn’t mean that she couldn’t run with the guys. She’d been doing it most of her life. There had been Camilla’s influence but she had a brother and Hank. The two had toughened her up quite a bit. Erin wasn’t exactly miss run and cry because something happened, and she certainly wasn’t the type to blame everyone else. This had been a case she was assigned, end of story. It was nice having her dad close again, but this certainly wasn’t Chicago. Honestly, she already knew why he was still here. He was watching out for her from a closer distance than halfway across the country. “It was my job to go after this guy.” She knew the person responsible was still at large. “It still is my job to make sure this asshole pays for what he did to those women.” Well leaving herself out of the mix, was more of his sake than her own. Erin took a long sip of her beer. When her dad told her that she was a good cop and that he was proud of her, she wasn’t really sure that was the case. Hell, she’d almost gotten herself killed. So she left the argument well enough alone and just took another sip of her beer. The alcohol couldn’t numb the after effects of what she’d been through. “You know I can’t talk about overseas operations and I didn’t do anything to him. He’s just sour that his arrest rate sunk in the mud when I arrived in town. Harrison is butthurt.” She shrugged. Taking another sip of her beer, it was clear she was putting one too many beers away. “You’re here and I know it isn’t Chicago.” She was trying to apologize still, that was the way she felt about it. There was a long sigh. Between Kelly, Hank, and Kevin she was sure that the three were keeping close tabs on her at home and at work. Though her concern right now was for the three of them. She knew she would make it through the end of the day. Tag: Sgt. Hank Voight

To Hank, Erin was breakable and she was the most precious thing he had in life left. That came with a certain degree of crazy over parenting even when he knew she was old enough to look after herself and likely have her own kids if she wanted. What had happened to her already was far too much in his book and then seeing her in hospital because of a case. No that wasnt okay with him at all which meant she was going to be treated like she was made of glass and could break at any moment. “It’s my job too and believe me Erin this asshole will get exactly what’s coming to him.” Hank stated deciding that even Tierney had to have a place that he could use as his own back yard and dumping ground for criminals. “He did it to you too and that isn’t okay, so we’ll get him. I know we will.” He added partly hoping the guy resisted arrest so he could shoot him or attempt to do it the legal way without making that leap into the Tierney history books for dirty cop. Hank drank from the bottle he had, it was about all he could do given everything that was going on. He was still adjusting to new surroundings, new faces and places and with Erin nearly getting killed. No there was no way he was hanging around Chicago if his daughter was in trouble. “Can’t blame me for trying right and yeah he’s got a grudge or not a grudge but... I don’t think we’re on his friendly list.” He said remembering his first meeting with the guy, it wasnt exactly the warm fuzzy welcome. Then again Hank would have been suspicious if it had been. Hank watched a she took another sip of her beer, “Maybe you want to slow down on those?” He suggested not wanting to make a big deal of it but then if he had to he would do. He wasnt going to see her swap one evil for another on his watch. “Nope it’s not Chicago, the pizza is crap.” Hank stated shaking his head as he figured her apology but he wasnt about to accept anything of the sort. “Listen you’re family, my family and I want to be around for family. It’s simple and makes sense. Chicago will live without me, besides Tierney is nice enough I just need to find my way around.” He said knowing he did miss the city but then who was to say his new town wasnt going to be just as much fun. At least it was a sort of start over for him, no assumptions on who he was and no rumours at least none as of yet to deal with so it was a fresh start. With the added bonus of watching over family while he was there. Tag: Det. Erin Voight

Erin wasn’t going to argue with Hank on the fact the person responsible had what was coming his way. That didn’t stand well. She sighed and leaned her head back down again on Hank. She wrapped him up in a hug and didn’t want to let go. In a way, she was glad he was here too. Erin had pretty much from day one been a daddy’s girl. There were the days that Erin and Camille had gone at it, and Erin would inevitably end up telling Hank a story she wouldn’t have told her mother. Deep down Erin knew what Hank had meant, and she had to do something to keep him from pulling a stupid. So, she had talked to her Lt. in charge. Now she just had to drop the news on her dad, and there was always that right moment. Now was not it. Erin always knew that dropping change on him was likely to stir the pot if done wrong. “You know he resigned this morning. I overheard him telling the Lieutenant that two Voights were more than enough to drive him to drink.” Erin cracked a smirk and tried not to laugh. Okay maybe this was a good time to drop the rest of the Lieutenant’s news. “And since my partner is out on long term disability, guess who I get stuck with?” She was teasing. Of all the people in the PD, she wouldn’t mind being stuck with her dad for a partner. Erin lightly shoved her dad in the side before picking her head up to bring in more alcohol. When Erin’s beer was almost to her lips, she heard her dad tell her to slow down on the drinks. Part of her felt like snapping back that she could make her own decision about her drinking and then another part of her looked over seeing the other empty beer bottles and she understood the voice of reason. “One more and then I am done.” Granted that would make her grand total to five beers. Erin couldn’t help but laugh. “You can’t order real Pizza in Tierney Dad. But they do have a really awesome place that sells Chicago Dawgs. The place is owned by a couple who was raised in Chicago.” She pointed out with a small shrug. Tierney was a melting pot of things. “The closest thing we have to real Pizza comes from some of our New Yorkers.” Any Chicago person knew that New York Pizza didn’t make the cut. Erin knew things had been rough on Hank after Camille’s passing. They had been rough on Erin too; but she’d always had Kelly that she could talk to about things. Even before they had been a pair, they had still been best friends. Hank had Erin, so she did everything she could to be there. And now things were reversed. If he wanted to stay in Tierney all the better, she could keep an eye on him. Tag: Sgt. Hank Voight

Hank smiled when she wrapped him up in a hug, there truly was no better feeling he thought as he hugged her back glad she was there and happy to be with her again. After she had left Chicago it hadn’t been the same place for him, sure it was great and he knew a lot of people there. Good and bad but family was where Erin was and being a daddy’s girl Hank missed her like mad. Sure he knew his wife loved Erin like a daughter but the two of them they could go at it and he sure he did enjoy being close to Erin as he didnt have a daughter of his own. Hearing about Harrison Hank raised his brow; he had thought there were at least making progress together. They could stand in the same room and be civil; it was about as much progress as he could hope for with people these days. “The manners on that guy, to think if he’d have come to Chicago he would have gotten the red carpet welcome.” Hank said with a sigh, “Two Voight’s are push overs, I mean we’re both like kittens, not enough to drive anyone to drink.” He added grinning, well maybe Harrison had a point but still not about his daughter. Hank chuckled as he was about to guess a number of names he had heard until he felt her shove him in the side. “Aww, well sorry you got the short straw this week. I swear I’ll be on best behaviour.” He said as he hugged her and kissed the top of her head before he shoved her back in the side lightly. Best behaviour for Hank was like the worst of another cop but he still wanted to give it a go. He now had his daughter to protect on the job so how good, well it remained to be seen. “You know I’ll hold you to it.” He said glancing at the four empty beer bottles that were there already, be it a parent’s worry or just being an over protective dad Hank didn’t want to see Erin disappear into a bottle of any kind. It was okay for him to do but not for her. Strange how things like that worked when you were an adult. Hank grinned when Erin laughed about the pizza, nope there was no such thing as real pizza outside of Chicago. It was a rule and sure he might have moved but his tastes were still the same. “Oooh Chicago Dawgs, now any taste of Chicago is good with me because honestly the pizza here is crap.” He stated keeping his voice low for the crap part given he didnt want to insult anyone’s mother or father who owned a local pizza place. “No you didn’t just say that, no New Yorker can make a pizza like Chicago, have you been away that long? Do I need to call an ambulance for you?” He asked just checking Erin was still Erin as he shook his head. “Well that seals it then, finish your beer and we’re getting these dawgs before you forget your Chicago roots entirely.” Hank offered, “I don’t put you on the no fly list out of the city and this is what happens, you go to the dark side.” He huffed as he nudged her lightly as he took a sip of his beer. It was odd, being in a new place with just her high school best friend. Though she should have guessed that Hank would have stayed when things had gone to hell. Then again she couldn’t blame her dad for being overprotective of her given that the person who attempted to kill her was still at large. There were nights Erin still didn’t sleep. In fact, when Kelly was on shift she generally stayed with Hank. Though she didn’t explain to anyone that it was because she felt afraid alone. That wasn’t like Erin. “Your best behaviour? Really Dad?” She chuckled trying not to fall out of her chair while she did. The beer was finally starting to make her feel buzzed. Usually, she was a depressed type drunk but when Hank was messing with her like this? It was hard to be depressed when she had family around her. “I’m sure you will.” Erin replied as she took a sip of the beer she was on. No, she wanted to disappear into the bottle. Though she had a feeling that if Kelly found out about her drinking this much, that Hank wouldn’t be the only one she was arguing with over going out at night. “Not what I meant. I meant that it’s better than MOST of the pizza HERE.” Oh her dad had listening issues sometimes. “No more ambulances. I have had enough of that to last me a lifetime.” Not that she remembered the ambulance. In fact, she didn’t remember a good portion of being in the hospital either. No, she’d rather not be reminded about that at all. “I haven’t forgotten my Chicago roots!” She pouted as she took a few more sips of her beer. When she finished it she set it on the counter and stood up. “So you put yourself on the no fly list out of Tierney.” She teased. Cue eyeroll as she shoved him back. Though she was hardly balanced on her feet at this point. Tag: Sgt. Hank Voight

Hank would have stayed no matter what, the fact that Erin had been hurt and the guy was still out there gave him sleepless nights but like hell he would have gone back to Chicago after that. No Hank was there until Erin told him not to be but even after that he would be there simply because it was the right thing to do. He was her father and it was what a father did, he was there for their kids come rain or shine. Besides Erin needed someone to watch her back when Kelly was on shift so that was him. “Yeah really, boy scout good. I swear, didnt kick, shout or bite him.” Hank stated before he smirked lightly watching her, it was nice to see her happy even if he figured alcohol had a lot to do with it that night. “Haven’t even disappeared anyone yet either so really I’ve been an angel in this place.” He added, sure making jokes about what he had done in Chicago might be bad taste but it wasnt like anyone there knew other than the two of them what he was capable of. All for the greater good which could be used either way but it was for the good of the people of Chicago or family. “You can count on it. Today tomorrow and the day after that if it means you make good choices.” Hank said in more of a fatherly tone. It wasnt that he hadn’t been down the bottle route before, after Camille passed away he had tried it. Work, drink, home combination but it didnt work out too well for two of the three and two of the three needed his attention more than the end of the bottle had done. “Most of the pizza here, I’ll take what I can get because all due respect to this place... the pizza is awful.” He said, well once you had a taste of great it was tough to go to any other level and the pizza was well cardboard in his mind. “Yes you have and you can make a promise to me right now, never get in any more trouble.” He asked sure that a cop didnt exactly mean that trouble wouldnt find you but he had to attempt some version of her staying safe beyond him turning into a doorstep stalker for the rest of his natural life. Hank raised his brow at her when she mentioned roots as he finished off his beer and set it down. “Yeah, I know just checking but if your pizza taste has changed I swear you’ve been body swapped.” He stated knowing it to be true, he knew Erin and if she thought Tierney pizza was better than Chicago he was calling her a doctor right away. Hank rolled his eyes right back at her, “Oh yeah and you too for that matter, no more flying anywhere partner. Got to keep a good eye on you.” He said seeing that she wasnt balanced on her feet as he put an arm around her shoulders to try to keep her steady as he nudged her lightly so he wouldnt knock her over. Erin tried not to spill her beer from her mouth as she finished it off when he said soething about him being an angel. “Your version of angel is a missing half a halo and it wearing it sideways.” She was teasing of course. She was about to say something else when her phone rang. Freezing she stared at the number. No. There was no way this guy was calling her and harassing her again. She’d couldn’t block a withheld id. These days hardly anyone withheld their id and this guy had done it since the attack. Erin threw her phone on the counter and walked away taking a few steps away from it. Mentally dealing with this was, no she wanted him to pay for what he did. Hank’s fatherly tone wasn’t helping. Erin was now trying to formulate a way to get to this guy. Unfortunately for her that now meant that her father was the one who had her back and there was only so much she was going to get away with. Heading back towards him she took a few breathes. “I’m not going to sleep until this guy pays for what he did.” She stated, though it was more than likely it meant she was going to be drinking more. “I have a job to do Dad. Flying is just part of it.” She explained. “You trying telling the military no you won’t help out. It was part of my promotion. They say go, I say okay.” She reminded him. “There was another attack.” She finally spoke. “Seal’s wife. This guy is likely to have the Navy Seals after him if we don’t catch him.” She sighed. “I thought it was a copycat.” She sighed. “I didn’t have the heart to tell her husband that I haven’t caught the guy who did this. He’s not going to stop. I have to find him.” She stated definitively. “He didn’t get as far as… but she’s in the hospital after she was forced to drink gasoline. He was gone on arrival.” She looked at her empty beer bottles. It wasn’t hard to tell she was still wanting to drown the incident of the day. Grabbing for Hank she hugged him tight. It wasn’t that she was scared, it was more she was upset at herself. “How do I stop him?” She wasn’t beyond pulling a Voight and putting a bullet in the guy’s head. The problem was finding him. Erin knew she was going to hold out okay from her own incident. “She’s got a little girl to go home to, The daughter is only eight.” She bit her lip. “He has to be stopped.”Tag: Sgt. Hank Voight

“Not denying a squint halo is still an angel though?” Hank said grinning at her as her phone rang, he saw her freeze as she stared at it which sent a chill up his spine. Something was wrong that much he could see as he glanced at her phone. “What’s wrong?” He asked her as she threw the phone onto the counter and walked away from it. Her reaction wasnt just a random sales call or that annoying call that came and the wrong time almost every time. “Erin, please Erin look at me you’ll sleep okay because the guy will pay. Trust me on that.” Hank said as Erin knew better than most what he would do to someone who hurt his family. Jail or not he wasnt bothered because at least then the problem would be solved for her. Hank listened to her tell him about the say go and okay military which sure it worked for them but not so much for him. They say go he says screw it was more his style as he decided how high to jump and when. Hank was about a sip of beer away from telling her that she was her own person when Erin told him about the seals wife. “Erin this isn’t your fault, this guy is tricky and we’ll get him I promise you that. Seals wife or not he went after you and the guy wont be out there for long. We will stop him and you will be able to sleep just know I’ve got your back on it and I wont stop until this guy is gone.” Hank stated refraining from using his usual, dead or wiped off the face of the planet talk just in case anyone over heard him. Lawyers were one thing but if he intentionally stated his actions, he couldnt argue I didnt do it someone else did. Hank hugged Erin when she grabbed for him, “Shhhs It’s alright.” He said though he knew it really wasnt but then again it was what parents did, tell everyone else it was. “You don’t stop him, we do together.” Hank stated as he listened that the woman had a little girl to go home to, that hurt as all her husband was doing for the country. All she did for it to have to deal with some maniac on top of it all. No the guy was about to be stopped no questions asked. “So we go over the case, top to bottom again. Find what we missed and get him that way? Anything similar in the people he’s going after?” Hank asked as he held Erin, if it was up to him he’d never have her in harms way at all. Wrapped in cotton wool and only see the good side of the world though her life had taken all kinds of twists and turns to show the bad. Tag: Det. Erin Voight

Erin would have been able to laugh except that number on the phone. “What are the chances that he is trying to trace me?” She knew that if the phone was on… it was traceable. If he was tracing her, then just the phone ringing would be enough to pinpoint her last location. That was right here and right now. Though when Hank asked her to look at him she did. She knew her dad followed through on his promises. Trust wasn’t an issue. She laid her head on his shoulder and nodded. “ I’ll sleep when he’s not roaming the streets anymore. I will sleep when I know he can’t hurt anyone else.” She managed to explain. She clenched her fist and grabbed her phone. “He’s coming.” She had a feeling. Either he was coming to them or she was going to trace him. One of the two was happening. “ Dad if we don’t take care of this and her husband gets mixed up in it, then it’s going to go South and fast.” She told him as she grabbed for her phone again. She also made sure her weapon was loaded. Not that she was in any state to have a weapon on her. As long as she didn’t fire it while intoxicated, there was that. It would ruin her career if she did. Too bad the fact she was just defending herself wouldn’t stand. If they guy had any brains, then he was coming here for her and that didn’t sit well with her because the man wasn’t stupid, in fact he was quite skilled. He’d hidden himself as a copycat killer for a while now, just to stay out of harm’s way. When Hank started asking questions she shrugged. “Um… Grace is blonde, but we don’t really look close enough to be based on looks. Both civilians. Around the same age and height maybe?” She was trying to think about what would attract the killer to the other victim. “I think maybe he got spooked this last time. What happened, the only constant is the gasoline.” She explained. “I thought it was a copycat for a while.” She added. Tag: Sgt. Hank Voight

Hank shook his head at her, “If he wants to do that then there’s nothing you can do about it now.” Hank stated as he looked her in the eyes. “It’s okay, I’m right here and he’s not getting to you at all. We’ll get him and if he does come here then I’ll make sure he knows exactly what he’s done.” Maybe a little poetic justice was in order though again his own mind could think it but he wasnt about to drag Erin down that path with him. She was far better than that and that work was his thing not hers. “Let him, he can’t hurt you. I promise to protect you as your partner and as your dad.” Hank stated, “More so as your dad but that’s not for the department to hear.” Then again partnered with Erin what did they expect, he would watch a partners back but his own daughters. He wasnt about to let anything remotely bad happen to her now he was in Tierney. The first time he had been in Chicago, too far to do anything but now he was right there. “You sleep all you want to, he’s gone already he just doesn’t know it yet.” Hank stated smiling trying to cheer her up. Hank took a breath as he watched her grab for her phone and check her weapon again. “Her husband should know better and yes it would but things can go south for you too if you’re even thinking you can use that tonight.” Hank said as he motioned to her gun, “Ever thought he’s watched to know when you can’t shoot him?” Hank said not entirely sure the guy was that smart but just in case it made sense. Hank wasnt too bothered about the drinking rules though he knew one beer wasnt going to put him too far over. He wasn’t impaired in any way other than he would read hopefully below the level required. “Okay so maybe he has a type for height and age, we can run similar motives and see what comes up. We might find a winner among them or the reason he does what he does.” Hank offered knowing that they likely had covered it already but the more they found out the less likely they were to have missed something along the way. “So he prefers gasoline, petrol stations have camera’s. See who’s near the attacks also what made you think copy cat in the first place? What changed about it?” Hank asked her as he hugged her closer for a moment. “Was he hurt at some point to force a change?” He knew it was question after question but he guessed things needed to be asked to figure it all out again. It was like looking at something fresh even if beer had been involved. Tag: Det. Erin Voight

Right now Erin wasn’t so sure she wanted reassurances as much as she wanted revenge. She didn’t sleep because of this guy and as long as he was on the loose, there was going to be issues. Erin tried to think of anything and everything that could possibly give her a clue on who he was. “Tattoo.. Marines I think.” Though Erin puzzled her face a bit. “But he didn’t have that military walk, so either he’s posing or he’s super new.” She decided before Hank ripped every Marine he knew apart that she’d need to clarify. Still Marine meant training and training meant there was more going on there and this guy wasn’t so easily put off. Erin went from not wanting reassurance but still feeling like she needed her dad. Deep down she was scared and it was showing in everything she did. Though who could fault her after what had happened. “I can’t sleep.” She persisted. No, she wouldn’t sleep until she knew that this person couldn’t hurt anyone anymore. Why was her dad trying to use logic on her. Erin was well over the legal limit and was likely to fail any breathalyzer test given to her if she fired her weapon. Though when Hank said the guy was watching her to see when she couldn’t shoot him she froze and started looking around. Hank really wasn’t helping. She was already paranoid that she was being watched. Cue question about the copycat. “His sequence changed.. This girl he had her drinking the gasoline. Though I can’t be certain the cops didn’t scare him off before he could start the fire.” She sighed, “I never was forced to drink anything. It’s an added step maybe?” Usually criminals felt rushed to finish things and as a result cut corners not added to their show of sorts. Erin shook her head. “I dunno if he was injured between the attacks or not, but his timing was… different. Rushed even. Copycat just seemed like the most likely fit since it broke all of his patterns except one.” She struggled to talk about it but deep down she was chiding herself for not telling anyone her train of thought sooner. Hank nodded to Erin, “That’s great we can use that.” Hank stated though if the guy was new or wasnt military at all then that got a little tricky. The military kept records, details one though maybe he had gotten into trouble before. “Look we can put the tattoo in the data base, come up with some faces and go through those. See if anything clicks.” Hank suggested not exactly sure it would work and it was a long shot but then again something had to work eventually to catch this guy. Hank hated to think that his guy had her that scared that she couldnt sleep. For that alone Hank wanted to kill him but he had to find the right guy first. “Yes you can, I’ll stay over make sure everything is alright and park out front if I have to.” Hank said not wanting Erin to lose anymore sleep. It was easier said than done but then it wasnt like Hank wouldnt do everything within his power to help her sleep. If it took sitting outside her place all night to make sure she was safe he would do it in a heart beat because it was anything for family. “All I’m saying Erin is that you’re giving this guy an opportunity, like it or not.” Hank tried to explain not wanting to terrify her but still, he could see things from outside for a moment or two. “Drinking like that, I’m not telling you what to do because you know my thoughts on it but Erin be smart about things.” He almost wanted to plead with her to do that but Erin could be stubborn and he doubted him saying anything about it would change things. Hank listened about this added step as he nodded again, it made sense as people got used to things to add to their way of doing it all. Hank hadn’t started out at the silo’s in Chicago but he found his way there after trial and error. “Okay so why add to it? Why take the chance to prolong things and get caught? Drinking the gasoline did as much damage to this woman? Not on the outside but inside?” Hank asked pretty sure that drinking the stuff was a good as drinking turpentine which wasnt exactly great for the digestive system. “Okay so what was the same about this one?” Hank asked her, he knew he was going over ground but a fresh look at things never hurt. “If he rushed then he could be hurt, maybe he had to get the last one to drink it because he couldnt escape if he started the fire? To slow to get anywhere fast?” Hank suggested going with her injured theory. Well it made sense not to die in your own fire so if things changed there had to be a reason to it. Tag: Det. Erin Voight
