On board transport flight Osan to Seorang-dong 0930 Local time Stephanie hated these briefings. The woman waited until everyone had been seated. Stephanie was not one for beating around the bush so to speak. “February 19th 2017 at around 0818 our rescue chopper went down around Seorang-dong 30 clicks west of our current location.” She hated the fact that their intelligence had given them very little up until this point. “Three of our people are missing.” When she said that, she had meant those part of the JTF. She was certain there were more but their unit specifically there were three. The woman didn't want to think about the numbers, but she had to give the intel they had, she was not going to leave her people flying blind into this. "That isn't to say other units are not missing personnel. There is no exact count for this camp. But we estimate 15 - 30 men and women are being held there"“They located the camp 10 clicks north of the Seorang-dong area. It’s an isolated spot close along the river.” Stephanie paced, sitting still was hard to do when she had other things on her mind. Come on Stephanie put your head on straight the team needs you. Great her conscious was starting to mimic that of her husband. “Wilson, Voight, Atwater, and Jackson You will be with Lt Colonel Ruzek on the first entry point. Jackson, Sgt. Dovev, Bauer, Cole, and Markingham you are going to be with Vetelsen on the 2nd entry point. You are going to be the two extraction teams. Atwater and Voight and will run everyone through what we know about the compound.” She pointed at the two police officers. Neither officer had turned down the contract to come to the region, she knew they were some of the best intelligence JTF had back in Tierney. “Halstead and Foxwell will be with me. We will provide them cover fire sniper style.” She knew they were going to be skirting by with the bare minimum for the area; but she couldn’t just have anyone in those positions. It’s why she had maneuvered herself into the field. “Lt. Col Dovev will be in contact from the air, aerial support will be keeping the main targets busy. I still want everyone to be careful. The aerial support we have been provided is limited. There will be limited radio communication if any, given the nature of this mission for those who are inside. Unless you absolutely need them, then turn them off completely. Those providing support let's keep things low.” “Sherman when we land you are going to drop off the extraction teams as close as you can maneuver them safely. After that you have your instructions.” She hadn’t handed those instructions down, they had come from another source. Stephanie had read them over but she didn’t think they were for everyone’s ears. Sherman had his orders. “Caffery, you are going to stay with the perimeter team in case you are needed. I want you to be able to maneuver between the extraction point and the other areas.” There wasn’t a large perimeter team and it was mostly transports and light artillery designed to draw fire; much like their aerial friends. Taking a few breaths she breathed in slower than she exhaled. There was everything wrong with this situation and she was sick of things being FUBAR. Extraction Point One: @adamruzek, Sp. Agt. Mark Wilson, Det. Erin Voight, @kevin, @emilee Extraction Point Two: Lt. Gustav Vetelsen, Petty Officer Matthew Cole, Sgt. Malachi Dovev, @eric, @susan Snipers: Col. Stephanie Huntley, Sgt. Jay Halstead, Gy Sgt. Julien FoxwellGround: Ssgt. Sherman Sullivan , Lt. Col. Savannah CafferyAir: Lt. Col. Elizabeth Dovev@logansale will join extraction point two when application is finished

Escort for Transport 0930 Take off from Osan Airbase Lizzie was used to escorts, she did a lot of that when it came to transporting the troops. Though this time, she was going to be starting a mess. Poking sleeping bears... that was the phrase she had used in her own briefing earlier that morning. There were days she swore the men only half listened to her briefings. It had been a hard road but she had managed to get her new unit to realize she wasn't just talking out her back end when it came to her knowing her stuff. Her flight career over the last decade had it's ups and downs. Her head had to be on her flying. Knowing Malachi was on the ground was nerve racking at best and it wasn't that she didn't care, quite the opposite in fact. Elizabeth had to focus and keep her head clear. She was glad Malachi had taught her to turn off her emotional state. Quite honestly, that was exactly what she was having to do. Lizzie could look at things with logic. That never made things easy but it could be done. "Escort flight in position." Cargo transports just didn't have the maneuverability they needed. They were just not risking taking another helicopter. Julien was listening attentively, his sniper rifle in his case between his feet as he sat. His brow quirked upwards as he heard the numbers of those that they could potentially be saving.
“Halstead and Foxwell will be with me. We will provide them cover fire sniper style.”
Julien simply nodded as she continued to speak, his hand against his case. It felt strange not being around those that he had worked with for a while in MARSOC but Julien knew he could not let that affect his hand at this point. People knew him well enough, though perhaps the fact he had jumped the gun early on had not really gained him much respect.
Of course, with Stephanie coming into play, along with another fellow sniper, Jay Halstead - Julien could feel the competitiveness creeping into his body as he eased a kink out of his neck.

Jay's eyes clouded and he went into the mission room, listening to Colonel Amberson as she relayed the information and broke them all into groups, giving them different assignments. "Roger that," he responded brusquely when she told him that he'd be going with her in a sniper position. He wasn't crazy about the fact that he was good as a sniper, but he knew that it was a necessary position. Okay, I can do this, he thought to himself. They had people to extract and he was going to make sure he did his part. Might need to talk to Ashley about this, he thought. No! That would make her think he was unfit to do his job. Did he hate killing people? Of course. But did that mean he didn't understand why it was necessary? Nope. He knew quite well why it was necessary. But that didn't mean he had to like it.
He then gave himself a mental shake and followed the Colonel. "So what's the plan? Besides 'Don't get killed'?" he asked. And kill as many of these bastards as possible, he thought to himself. Yeah, okay. He could do this. He just had to get into proper head space. Targets. We're going to have targets, he thought to himself, his body unconsciously went rigid, shifting into what Mouse had called his "Work mode". He just needed to find the targets, point, and shoot.

More briefings, well this ought to be fun he thought as he sat there and listened. Three people missing well there wasnt much fun about that he thought not that the other units didnt count but then their unit well it was three of their own no one elses. Mark listened even further when he heard his name, first entry point well this was going to be something.
He sat back in his seat as he waited for Atwater and Voight to run through what they knew about the compound. Hopefully it would be a little easier than the base they had previously been on because that place was a maze. Sure he got why and the designs why it needed to be that way but it didnt make it any easier for the help to get around when they arrived. Just get home in one piece he thought taking a deep breath as he had never thought he would ever hope more to see Smurfs The Lost Village more in his entire life.
Flying hadn’t bothered him, landing nope that was fine. Stepping off a plane into the unknown nope but what scared him to death was the thought that he could have been one of those missing team members. For some reason that was his nightmare, not getting to go home for whatever reason it was. The navy it hadn’t bothered him, when he was younger it was the adventure of it all the countries and the sights but now it was the getting back that was important not the next great adventure though that came a close second.
Mark sat back in his seat and waited to hear from everyone else as he grinned for a moment hearing Halstead ask about the plan and not getting killed. Main objective number one he thought as he sat there silently waiting as he tried not to think too much about what they were going to be heading into. Given what he had heard it was nice to know that there was cover from all angles of the mission. That at least was a small comfort to know.

On board transport flight Osan to Seorang-dong 0930 Local time
Was it wrong to be excited for her first mission outing with this group since being in Tierney? Savannah had never been one to stay in one place for a long time and this was just another adventure for her. A country she hadn’t yet spent much time if any in and despite the fact her medical pack sat by her feet and her gun too it was stark contrast to what was usually required of her. Treat wounded and go, protect the patients and make sure they got the care they needed.
Savannah sat silently and listened to Col. Amberson, she didnt know many people there a few faces she recognised and Julien Foxwell from the mall but other than that she hadn’t much working knowledge of the others. “Got it Colonel.” She stated nodded, Savannah was used to moving between places and a battlefield was simply one of those keep moving forward and dont look back sort of things she figured. It wasnt her first and probably or hopefully not her last but then you never could tell. Still if she was on the ground then she was where she could help at least if she was required. Transport and artillery, draw fire and hope for the best she thought as she glanced between her pack at her feet and her weapon, when she had become a field surgeon she hadn’t thought much about the fighting side but she knew she could do both.
It was a far cry from the sterile hallways and clean areas of the hospital back in Tierney but then again beyond the patients there was little adventure there. This was her job and she was more than happy to do it, after all it gave her a story to tell if she so cared to do so.

On board transport flight Osan to Seorang-dong 0930 Local time
Nothing was sitting easy with him that day, normally he would have flipped the switch to his usual unfeeling cold calculating self but that day given his wife was in the air he was finding it tougher than ever to forget about everything else but the mission at hand. He knew they were both military, he knew they were deployed but flying hadn’t ever sat well with Malachi. So right now given everything he wasnt screaming to get off and out of the plane but he wasnt exactly comfortable.
He was tense, not that it wasnt his usual state but there were varying degrees of tense that he had. This was his more uncomfortable tense though he was devoid of most emotion, no crack of a smile or welcoming glance he just sat there stone faced and listened to the briefing. Plan A to plan Z and then whatever came after that. Second extraction point well they had better hope that they let the team go without harm or Malachi was sure they would have one hell of a fight on their hands.
He was still trying to relax with the flight when he heard that name, the name that almost had his calm facade cracking. Major Dovev, contact from the air sounded good to him as long as he knew she was safe though listening to her job Malachi wished he was blissfully unaware of it. Limited radio communication too well this just got better and better though he understood why. Then again with Mossad he wasnt exactly used to any radio communication given his previous like of work, it wasnt always on the best side of things.
Malachi reached for his radio and turned it off, better not to hear any chatter he thought because that was a distraction too. Task at hand he thought as he sat bolt upright in his seat, no feeling what so ever just another day and another stone face that he had practiced so well over the years. He glanced around for a moment before he waited to hear what the rest of the briefing might be as he tried not to worry about who was in the air above them.

On board transport flight Osan to Seorang-dong 0930 Local time
Kevin was a bit nervous, public speaking had never been his thing and when he looked to Erin she didn't seem like she was any more eager than he was. "So... uh using aerial footage and months worth of satellite surveillance we have located what we believe is an enemy compound where the hostages are likely being held. It's a fairly small camp located on the southwest shore of this lake." He pointed to a map. "Not even going to pretend that I can speak Korean and try to pronounce that... but you get it all the same. The compound appears to be made of concrete, dirt, and other camouflaging materials. Makes it hard to spot from the air, fairly easy to defend, and almost impossible to breach. There appears to be at least one larger building that could have several rooms inside it and at least a couple smaller buildings, since it's so easy to camouflage from the air it's possible that there are other small buildings located along this area here but it's hard to tell. Also there's not much in the way of vegetation to provide cover, might want to consider breaching after dark they'd never see us coming and most of them would likely be asleep."
Adam listened to the report and sighed nothing about this was good. He still felt responsible that the hostages had been held as long as they had. Maybe if he'd authorized searching for them right after they'd been taken it wouldn't have gone on this long, but he'd made a decision and everyone was still dealing with the consequences. He looked up at the aerial photos of the compound, "So do we have any idea what kind of fence if any is surrounding the place and has any surveillance been done to give us an idea of how many of the enemy there are or where and how many guards are roaming around? If we can breach and gain control quickly and quietly while most are still sleeping the element of surprise would work in our favor for a quick search and extraction of the hostages."
Eric was taking everything in as the others spoke, while he was usually a talker the man did know when to shut up and listen. He didn't have much useful to add at this point, and he hadn't been in Korea for the first part of the mission. It hit him then that there were several on this plane that had no idea exactly who they were searching for. Speaking up he asked, "So... for the benefit of those of us that just got here do we have any pictures of the hostages so we have some idea of who exactly we're looking for." He knew that all of the hostages were important but three of their own were missing and that didn't sit well. Prior to the briefing his mind had been on Jamie and the boys back home, he hated leaving them any time but with Jamie being pregnant it made it extra hard this time. He hated that he was missing out on things back home, the ultrasounds and such. Shoving all of that to the back of his mind he took a deep breath and focused on the mission. The sooner this mess was over the sooner he'd be back with his wife.
This was Emilee's first real deployment and she was too nervous to do much other than watch and listen. She was good at taking things in, and following orders. She was going in with one of the extraction teams she and any other medics would be available to provide care to any of the injured, whether they be the hostages or part of the rescue team until they were able to get them to higher trained personnel.

Enemy Compound
Chloe was tired; tired of being held in this small dark damp room, tired of not knowing whether it was day or night, tired of not knowing if or when any food would be tossed her way, tired of being smacked around by the idiot running the operation, and tired of the wet earthy smell of the entire place. She was guessing they were underground or close too it, because there was very little light that made it into the room and it constantly smelled like someone's musty basement.
She sighed as she changed positions on the floor, and glared at the man sleeping on the nearby bed. Chloe had been moved to this room what she guessed to be about a month ago, after orchestrating what was almost a successful escape attempt. The others had all been herded back into the room they had previously been held in and Chloe had been separated and drug to this room, but not before she was forced to watch the guards die. They had been telling her since then that everyone else was dead and that she was the only one left alive. By this time she didn't know what to believe.
She leaned back against the cold concrete wall and let her tears fall as she thought about the possibility that she had gotten everyone else killed. Then she started thinking about everything and everyone she was missing back home and she found it increasingly hard to be quiet. This was when she would wish for the occasional times that she could completely shut everything out and go somewhere else in her mind, maybe she was hallucinating or fantasizing or whatever you wanted to call it but it was getting her from day to day. There were points where she wanted to beg them to just go ahead and kill her already, but she refused to give them the satisfaction of seeing her beg for anything.

On board transport flight Osan to Seorang-dong
His head lolled to one side, from the strain of having kept it upright as he roused from sleep; voices piercing through his ears over the top of the aircraft's engines. His eyes flickered open as the world swam into a clear focus, Sherman glanced around at the people who were joining them on this rescue op, noting their names and their faces as Stephanie began to allocate roles.
“Sherman when we land you are going to drop off the extraction teams as close as you can maneuver them safely. After that you have your instructions.”
"Yes, ma'am." Sherman gave a nod, confirming that he had heard his role whilst simultaneously making sure that he was properly awake for what was to come next, and that he would be ready. He had been attempting to keep up with what had happened recently from the Osan airbase, and he had gotten most of the picture; that there had been several hostages that had been taken during the attack.
"So what's the plan? Besides 'Don't get killed'?"
"Rescue the hostages, would probably be a good one." He said, keeping his tone soft.
Of course, he was working with someone, a Lt. Caffery. Sherman made sure the name stuck to the face as he nodded over to her before sticking his hand out for a more formal introduction, as formal as one can manage whilst sitting in on a plane. "Pleasure to meet you, Lieutenant. You'll be traveling shotgun with me, I presume."

Enemy Compound
It all seemed like an awful time, being a prisoner after having been shot down in a helicopter, crash landed and seconds away from rescue they were caught, and he wasn't sure being a prisoner was better than being alone, a hike away from base. Yet here he was in a weird country.
The last while hadn't exactly been that great, obviously, the flight medic had tried to stage an escape which in itself thinking on it sounded like an terrible idea and terribly it had ended, probably a lot more for her as she hadn't been seen or heard from for quite awhile. Not that he had made it easy for himself, he had provoked the guards a couple of time which on both occasions had resulted in a heavy beating. And despite considering to try and take out a guard, which would probably have resulted in his own death, Lucien had simply had to accept holding tight for now, but in this situation he had no idea how much more he could handle the situation before simply trying.
For now the hope of returning home to this family had kept him from doing anything stupid, the entire idea of dying seemed like an awful idea, and rather a waste as the result from the hostile guards would probably affect more people than just him, but if he got the chance who knew.

Jay listened to the chatter, nodding silently. It all sounded good. And the plans were coming along. He just needed to know where he was going to be placed so he could move out. Chloe could possibly be there, and he was itching to get her back. Don't worry, Lieutenant. We're coming, he thought to himself. What could he say? He wasn't in the habit of leaving people behind, especially if he cared about them. And he cared about Lieutenant Nunn.....a lot. Not that anyone could find out about those feelings. Because if they did, he'd be shipped out faster than he could even blink. And he wasn't about to let that happen. So yeah, staying quiet.
He then pushed the thoughts he was having away. He couldn't afford to get distracted like this. He needed to concentrate. If he didn't have his head on straight, he could put a lot of people in danger. Get it together, he berated himself. What was with him? He wasn't usually so careless. He needed to slip back into work mode. It was just another rescue op. He had been a part of a dozen of them in the past. Okay, maybe not that much, but the point remained: it was just like any other rescue. Yeah, and maybe if he kept telling himself that, he'd finally believe it. But it wasn't like he could say anything though. Okay, he just had to keep it calm. He could do this...

On board transport flight Osan to Seorang-dong 0930 Local time
Deployments always came with a mix of emotions for Matt, he had trained hard to become a SEAL and was happy whenever he got assigned a new mission, and deployments after all were what paid the bills, but it was never easy leaving Grace and Kaylee at home. But that was a fact he pushed to the back of his mind as usual while he sat there listening to Col. Amberson as she began the briefing.
He had a fairly deadpan expression as he took in the details, three of their own missing and a possible 15-30 more men and women missing as well. That in itself was a fairly big difference in numbers but they could only work with whatever intelligence they had, and since they had been missing since February it seemed like said vague intelligence had taken some time to gather. He could only imagine what conditions everyone had been living in over there and what state they would be by now, let alone how horrible it must be for them all wondering how long until rescue will arrive, if rescue will arrive and how long it would be until they would see their own loved ones again. But those were all thoughts Matt just forced to the back of his mind before they took root so that he would be able to keep himself focused on the task at hand.
He couldn't help hearing the voice of his former army instructor when Stephenie said the camp was close to a river, "That's not water, its cover. Get in it!!!" The voice echoed in his head. Though he didn't crack a smile at the sentiment, this was not the time or the place.
He silently looked at the different people around him, noting their names and faces as Stephenie addressed each of them. Quite a few of them he had never met or even seen before, though there were maybe one or two of the team he was familiar with.
Jackson, Sgt. Dovev, and Bauer you are going to be with Petty Officer Cole on the 2nd entry point. You are going to be the two extraction teams. Atwater and Voight and will run everyone through what we know about the compound.”
"Yes, Ma'am." He acknowledged. He glanced at those she said he would be working with, giving them a slight nod as way of a greeting. It was all he could offer them while Stephanie was still talking.
His eyes turned to Kevin as the man began to speak, the guy seemed a little nervous but he was doing a good enough job addressing the team. However Matt did crack a smile when Kevin wisely stated he wasn't even gonna try and pronounce the name of the area. But the smile soon faded as he listened to all the challenges the camp was throwing at them. This was gonna be a tricky one by the sounds of it and them going in under the cover of night sounded like a more than sensible suggestion. It was good to know they would be getting so much sniper cover, it sounded like they would be needing it on this one.
"So... for the benefit of those of us that just got here do we have any pictures of the hostages so we have some idea of who exactly we're looking for."
"Yeah, I was wondering about that myself." He chimed in respectfully, considering that he was one of the ones who had just gotten there. It would make the rescue operation a little easier knowing what the people they were being sent in for actually looked like, especially considering the intelligence they had for the mission so far seemed to have a lot of ifs, buts and maybes around it.
Matt had kind of a mixed take on this one. He had been deployed numerous times throughout his military career, first in the army then with the navy as a SEAL and this certainly wasn't his first rodeo, but it was the first time he had been a part of a mission with the JTF since transferring a few months ago. He was used to carrying out missions with a professional team comprised of his fellow SEALs, and being deployed with people from so many different departments was, well it was something he would definitely have to adjust to. It wasn't like he had a chip on his shoulder and thought that he was so much better than anyone else, certainly not, it was just that he wasn't used to seeing cops and the like being deployed on missions like this one before, and judging from some of the faces around him a few of the people present were not used to being sent on missions like this one either. Not that he was complaining, they had all joined the JTF for the same reason after all. He just didn't want anyone, himself included, to put a foot wrong because of a lack of experience in operations and a shortage of definite intelligence to work with. But hey, adapt and overcome right? Hooyah!

Onboard Transport FlightOsan to Seorang-dong0930 Local TimeSusan sat and listened as they were briefed on the mission. Three of our own and a handful of civilians...This will be a cakewalk. she thought as she watched the others. As Susan listened to the other officers she closed her eyes and pictured what they were saying. Well, shit...Maybe it won't be a cakewalk... she thought as she opened her eyes and looked at the others. She could tell they were all nervous. Susan knew they were entering enemy territory and as she nodded her head at who she was working with she said, " Copy that, Ma'am." She then checked her weapons and ammo before putting the safety on her main weapon. As she smiled at her allies she put in an earbud and zoned out while listening to music. As she turned on Hero by Skillet, she watched the others quietly before she spotted a fighter jet that was escorting them. " Still don't know how we're getting in there quietly. They're going to notice a giant cargo plane coming in if they have night vision. The sound alone from the propellers will notify them." she said as she gripped her M-16 and made sure the safety was on her Dragunov as well as a silencer. After checking her sniper she tossed it to Foxwell and nodded her head before saying, " Silencer on it to help you guys out. Use it as a last resort and I want it back later." She gave him a smile before lowering her head and zoning out as she continued her weapon check. " Sidearm is good and my main is ready as well. I've got plenty of flash bombs, smoke bombs and various grenades just in case. Gas mask, helmet and vest are all good. Comm check is a negative since we're going in silent. Night vision goggles are ready as well." Susan said as she removed her headphone to see that she was sort of yelling. " My bad." she said as she turned down the volume on her headphones as My Songs Know What You Did (In The Dark) by Fall Out Boy began to play.

On board transport flight Osan to Seorang-dong 0935 Local time Stephanie wasn’t one much for competitiveness, especially when lives were on the line. They were there to do their jobs. Pulling the trigger was taking lives, and it wasn’t exactly Stephanie’s favorite past time. She listened as everyone went back and forth about the mission. Halstead would crack out with obvious stupidity. There were days she wondered about him. Brilliant soldier but really dumb as a box of rocks. She tried not to snicker at the reply from Sherman and rescuing hostages. The man had a point. “Follow orders maybe Halstead?” Stephanie added with a quip of sarcasm. At least one of them had it right. Wilson knew when to shut his mouth. He was a civilian. Why did the civilians always have things figured out better? Oh well, she wasn’t going to knock that train off of it’s tracks. She smirked a bit at Wilson, it was more a smirk of approval that he knew to keep his mouth shut and fall into line. Her medical attachment lead caused the smirk to widen on her face. “You always have.” She tossed back at Caffery. The Colonel liked that she could count on the commanding officer of the medical attachment. Stephanie looked over towards the Israeli who was also quiet mannered. Something was up, Stephanie had spent years profiling people; something was bugging him. Though she could tell he was trying to focus so she didn’t bother him much. Turning things over to Voight and Atwater she could tell that Voight wasn’t getting a word in edgewise though kept trying to open her mouth. Nope she wasn’t touching that civilian partnership at all; those two could duke it out on their off time. “The only images you have are the ones in the personnel files of the three missing JTF. Lt. Chloe Nunn, Lance Corporal Lucien Vinigan and Petty Officer Noel Carver. We don’t have much intelligence on the compound. We have enough just to breach and get our own out of there." She noted in response to the two asking. She’d not forgotten about the Navy SEALs that were with them; but like the others they were mostly quiet and she appreciated that. Cole chiming in about the picture images which she’d answered so she didn’t go back and repeat herself. That’s when she heard the Staff Sergeant grouching about flying. “ You wanna fly Markingham? How about we throw you out of the cargo plane and see if you make noise when you hit the ground? Maybe if you wanted to worry about how far out our planes can land you should have commissioned to be a flyboy” The Colonel didn’t have time for any of this. That’s when she heard the music. Grabbing the headphones out of Markington’s ears she yanked on them hard and tossed them across the room. “You will pay attention and take orders or so help me I will take you up to the review board for insubordination myself.” She wasn’t so sure that she trusted this one. Pft, Marines. Stephanie not trusting a team member was dangerous. There was a sneer. It didn’t take much to get under the Colonel’s skin. “As I was saying the drop point is 5 clicks from the compound. That’s as close as we can land. From there Sullivan will handle transportation.” Stephanie continued. Eyes glancing over everyone. “Sullivan if you can drop the snipers closer if you have time when we land do so. If not, I’m sure the three of us haven’t forgotten how to use our legs” Stephanie didn’t mind running and if Halstead and Foxwell had issues with it, well then they could fly back to Tierney and have a tea party with Miss Tennessee.
